My husband took me here for Mother’s Day. We got there at 9:50am. Thinking we were coming early. Turns out they open at 9am, and their business hours on google is wrong. Everything was going great until… a large party showed up and the waitress asked for my husband and I to move to a different table! They asked once, we politely declined. Stating that no, we do not want to sit at the table all the way in the back of the cafe by the bathroom; away from the window where the sun was shinning in. Then someone else came over in disrupted us again. I found this completely rude! I never been in an establishment where it is open seating and been asked to move. As if I’m not important. We offered our chairs and for them to switch the tables out. As it was the location I cared about and not the actually table. Plus it’s Mother’s Day so I didn’t want to feel like I was ruining someone else day. Which I would have never felt like, if they left us alone. When you go out especially on the holiday. No restaurant is asking their customers to move to accommodate others. They typically start a waiting list. Or the people just have to go somewhere else/ take the food to go. Plus the cafe is small and was super busy. Eventually there would be no space for people to sit. You can’t always accommodate everyone. Either way the food was amazing! My husband and I enjoyed the coffee a lot. Really unfortunate we had to deal with this while trying to celebrate Mother’s Day.
update very sadden by this response. Very unprofessional and explains the customer service. I guess we are not customers and aren’t worth accommodating. Looking at how you have responded to other’s complaints, shows that your establishment is very defensive and lack getting constructive criticism. At the end of the day customers are who keep your business going. I hope you have a lot of regulars because clearly you don’t care about others; who could have potentially been regulars. Best to...
Read moreMy wife and I visited your establishment on Mother's Day for breakfast, and while we thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food and coffee, we had an experience that left us feeling somewhat uneasy. We were initially seated at a four-top table after placing our order. The restaurant quickly filled, which we understand is to be expected on a busy holiday. However, we were then approached, twice, by different staff members, and asked to relocate to a smaller table for two situated in a hallway near the restroom and what appeared to be a storage area for cleaning supplies. We politely declined, explaining that we were comfortable at our current table and that, while we understood the need to maximize seating, moving us felt unnecessarily disruptive, especially given the less-than-ideal location of the alternative table. We even suggested the possibility of rearranging the tables ourselves, but our concerns remained unaddressed. Eventually, a staff member assured us that we could remain where we were. While we appreciate the staff’s eventual willingness to let us stay, the repeated requests to move, especially given the less-than-desirable alternative location and the lack of any indication of table size restrictions, felt inappropriate. It felt particularly odd considering other similarly sized tables remained occupied by two people without any request to relocate. We ultimately had a positive dining experience because of the high quality of the food and drinks. We are happy to remain loyal customers and will certainly consider takeout or future dine-in visits. However, we hope you will consider reviewing your table management procedures and customer service protocols to ensure all guests feel valued and appropriately accommodated. A brief explanation or notification about seating arrangements when reservations are not taken would be greatly...
Read moreI and a friend met for breakfast at this cafe on a Saturday, February 15. It is a nice, cozy place, however, the service really spoiled the experience for me. When I walked in, the place was really busy, maybe because of Valentine’s day weekend. I waited for a table to open up, which was not a problem at first. However, I felt like I had to fight for it. I felt the waitress totally ignored me. When I asked whether I needed to order at the counter, she was annoyed and did not even stop to answer me. Another lady asked me if I was ready to order while still waiting for a table. I asked her to clean a small table after a couple left. She said ok, however I waited another 10 minutes and still the table was not cleaned. Finally, I saw the waitress ask another couple who came later to move to the table, and I had to basically get up and put my coat on the chair. It looked like finally the waitress had to acknowledge me. I asked her to clean the table for me since I’ve been waiting close to 30 minutes by now. The food was good and the other employees were nice. However, I will...
