It's McDonald's. Nothing overly special about it that makes it stand out as better. However, the low rating is due to how often I get pulled forward to wait for food. I have small children, they love McDonalds. In the past month, I've probably been there 4-5 times and I would say at least 3 of those times I've been told to pull forward and wait for the most mundane of things. Usually fries or nuggets. I get that sometimes there's a wait but it is far too frequent here. I have worked fast food before, years ago, and we never pulled people forward at this frequency. The last time was the worst incident. We were asked to pull forward and it ended up being over 15 minutes from the time our reciept was stamped at the payment window to the time we got our food. Nine other cars went past and got their food in that time. We were waiting for two large fries. That's it. Apparently none of the other nine cars ordered fries at McDonald's. I get maybe they didn't have enough on the line for two large orders, I get that, but I also know the cook time for fries and its far less than we had to wait and the likelihood of nine cars in a row none ordering fries is slim. But regardless, we wait and are going to get nice hot fresh fries. But no, when we got them they were nearly ice cold, nothing fresh, nothing as if it just came out of the fryer, ice cold fries that we had to wait 15min in a drive thru for. For a McDonald's they're on par with every other one you can go to, but their service is usually...
Read moreHave noticed the prices are coming down. Also the people arnt going as much. I have 6 McDonald's within my area. Always been there but because of the prices the poorest among us who would eat there regularly are or not able to eat there. Seemed like the big wigs in corprate tried to clean house and try to become a upscale burger bar. They will never in my estimation be an upscale burger bar. McDonald's started as a cheap feed your family for an reasonable price. The dollar menu was their demise. However it was a killer move. Not only the dollar burger but dollar soda made an impact on how to make billions and billions of dollars. They pulled away from the core of what made them so big. Never said the food was bad. Never said I'd stop eating there because of the taste of the food. What I said was big wigs and their suits and boards of people making decisions on what and how we eat is my beef(ha). Those people are Hippocrates. Ty to the people who get up and go to these jobs that really are the backbone of this great country. I did it when I was younger. I learned to never listen to the suit. They are the problem. Listen to the people who work in the trenches. Happy workers make the company not the boards or the people who invest. Check back in and enjoy sumthing we've had since...
Read moreCaramel Brownie McFlurry: The McFlurry was first introduced at McDonald’s in the late 90’s aka my childhood. It is similar to the DQ Blizzard and Culver’s Concrete Mixer. McDonald’s currently only has two permanent flavors which both involve vanilla soft serve and then either Oreo or M&Ms as mix ins. For a limited time the new caramel brownie flavor is now available at U.S. locations. As the name implies it is made up of brownie pieces, caramel topping, and vanilla soft serve. I was impressed by both the size and flavor of the brownie pieces. They’re relatively large cubes that have a nice soft and chewy texture. The caramel is sweet and thick, while the creamy vanilla soft serve reminds me of the cones I had as a little kid (as it’s the same). I love cookies & cream, so the Oreo McFlurry will always be my favorite, but this one is a worthy addition to the menu. Doughboy approved Doughboy_Food_Reviews *On 5/4 (Star Wars Day!) McDonald’s was giving these away for free if you ordered through their app. When I went to get mine the app started to glitch right when I got to the restaurant, which was really annoying and made a 5 minute trip into nearly 20. Big thanks to my server Ali for remedying the situation with some excellent...
