I've been very happy with this location in the past, even recommending it to friends and family for the excellent service and awesome food. The last few pizzas however have had incorrect ingredients and crust. They were small issues and so I never felt that I needed to put up a fuss about it but the last pizza I ordered was almost completely wrong. I called the restaurant to address the issue and the first person to answer the phone was really cool and understanding, but at some point someone else started speaking on the phone. I assume at this point he gave the phone to a manager and I was immediately met with an attitude. The individual offered to refund the pizza or give me a free pizza for my next order, which is perfectly reasonable. I tried to explain however, that I didn't want the pizza I was given and would prefer to have the original pizza redelivered. It seemed to make more sense to me to redeliver the correct pizza than to refund it and put in a new order for the same thing, also avoiding adding another pending charge to my bank account. Finally I was able to convince the person to have a new pizza delivered and he said "it'll be an hour" and hung up on me before I even had a chance to utter a simple thank you. The initial pizza I ordered arrived in about 15 minutes, and I understand it is possible that orders could have come through to increase the wait time, but the way that the whole thing played out, and how quickly he snapped the response at me without even checking, it really felt very personal and aggressive to be given such a long wait time. (I placed my original order at 5pm and as I'm writing this my second corrected pizza arrived at 6:50pm, nearly 2 hours later)
I was not being rude and I wasn't even upset. As far as I can remember this is the first time I've ever called with a complaint. I completely understand that sometimes mistakes happen and I only wanted to have the mistake corrected. I've ordered here many times and have had an awesome experience. I always try to leave a good tip for the drivers, especially on foul weather days. I've been told on several occasions that the staff recognizes me by name and that they appreciate my business, and I want to make it known that I appreciate them too. They have always been excellent and I have nothing but praise for them. I'm disappointed however that the leadership at this restaurant is so quick to show hostility towards a customer, especially when the establishment is at fault.
I don't like leaving negative reviews but this short encounter has really turned me off from this restaurant. I feel that as soon as I have an issue I will be immediately treated as an enemy and an inconvenience and I'm not sure that I will be ordering from...
Read moreWorst service Papa Johns ever. My wife ordered pizza and a two liter for us for me to pick up on the way home. I had no idea what the order was just told to go pick it up. I arrive and they had the pizza and breadsticks ready and handed it to me, I paid and left. Not knowing that she ordered a two liter as she just texted saying, "Just ordered Papa Johns, stop and pick it up on your way home." I had no idea it was supposed to come with. The soda cooler is behind the counter so it goes to say that they have to hand the soda along with anyway and would have that as part of the order when they give it to you. I stopped at the Speedway next door and got a 12 pack knowing we didn't have soda at home and spent $5 bucks on that. Got home and my wife said "Are they giving out 12-packs instead of two liters now?" I ask what she meant and was informed of the two liter. Ended up going back up to get it, and when I told them I was just there, to the same clerk, and handed him my receipt and everything, he proceeded to question me if I actually got the soda or not and what kind I was supposed to get cause it didn't list it on the receipt. He started giving me a hard time about if I actually got the soda already and how he can't just hand out any soda to someone that asks. I got a little heated and told him that, "If I did get my $2 soda do you think I'd be up here asking for it or at home eating the pizza that's now gonna be cold by the time i get there with my family that's already eating?" The manager stepped in and just looked up my order in the system and found out that there was supposed to be a soda and gave me one. Ultimately I felt like I was being treated like a criminal trying to scam a free $2 soda.
To top it off, when I got home, my wife still hadn't served the kids their pizza cause she just finished finding our pizza cutter and cleaning it off and cutting the pizza as it was not even attempted at cutting. We've gotten pizza here before that didn't get cut but at least had the marks in the top, just didn't go through the crust. This pizza didn't even have those marks, it was as if it just came out of the oven and straight into a box. All the hassle and we had to do part of the...
Read moreI haven’t had Papa Johns in years and the stomach ache I had for hours after eating their food was a reminder why. I went with their cheesy Alfredo pizza with their new garlic parm crust, which is only available in large so it feels like you’re forced to pay extra to try a new product and it gives the impression that the dough is frozen/premade since the order can’t be manipulated. It was an online order, maybe they can do it if you call it in, idk, just seemed weird how all the other pizza options let you see the size options and prices. Anyway, first bite in, another reminder as to why I never order cheese pizzas...just bland. You could hardly taste the Alfredo too. It was really heavy and I was full within minutes, but felt sick for hours after. I went online to see if other people had the same experience with the pizza and I came across an interview with a former Papa Johns manager. Apparently they don’t throw out their Alfredo sauce even if it’s past the sell-by date (Apparently 3 days after a opening) because it’s not ordered very often. Based on how I felt today, I’m guessing it’s a common practice...never again. I didn’t feel good again until I made myself throw up and I only did that out of desperation because I was just tired of feeling the way I did HOURS after...
