Regrettably, Casey's in Oak Grove, Missouri, seems to be declining in quality. This location used to be one of the better Casey's, especially when there were two stores in town. My family, friends, and I have had experiences with several Casey's locations, and generally, they offer a consistent quality of pizza. We've often recommended it as the best pizza to those who haven't tried it.
Years ago, when Oak Grove had two locations, one store would frequently leave their phone off the hook during busy periods. We had to drive to the further store, which, as it turned out, made tastier pizza. But let's focus on the present. The new building is centrally located and seems appropriately sized. The staff is a mixed bag: some are great, while others not so much. Casey's owner, here's a friendly suggestion: observe your competitors. They may have subpar pizza, but they excel in professionalism, cleanliness, and customer service.
The Oak Grove Casey's, on the other hand, often has a messy store, a frequently broken ice cream machine, and some employees who are disrespectful, rude, and sloppily dressed. There are issues with unbuttoned shirts, inappropriate undergarments, and distractions like phones, loud music, or videos during transactions. The phone service is unreliable, and when answered, the wait times given are inconsistent with the app's estimates.
During my last visit, I called more than 10 times in 20 minutes, only to be greeted rudely. Despite a 15-minute wait time shown on the app, I was put on hold for 15 minutes by a frustrated employee. Upon pickup, the manager mentioned that higher-ups had directed all stores to reduce toppings. This is disappointing, as your toppings and cheese have always been key to your success. Casey's is a regular choice for our family, both at home and during road trips.
My advice? Focus on cleaning up your stores, and perhaps you won't need to cut back on toppings. We've tried other stores recently and found the pizza to resemble a thin crust from a gas station, not the Casey's pizza we loved. For now, we're exploring other options, where quality seems to be improving. We hope Casey's will prioritize customer needs over profits and return to the standards we...
Read moreWaited in line to pay for gas. A tall blonde young lady was running the register and had just rung up another person in front of me. I approached and asked for $20 on my pump and without even looking at me put up a "register closed" sign and pointed to it. I said "oh sorry" and she decided she would ring me up with much attitude. I said "nice customer service" as I left. She yelled something at me that I couldn't make out and went to pump my gas. She didn't put it on the pump. Clearly intentionally, as I went back inside and she ignored me as I asked why my gas wouldn't pump. Then she finally said "it's on there." So went back to the pump and she still had not put my money on the pump. I stood there looking at the store for a solid minute before she finally did put the money on the pump. This is absolutely childish and unacceptable behavior from anyone in the customer service field. She waisted my time and toyed with me for over 5 minutes. Will never ever spend my money at...
Read moreAlways fill up here, sometimes get snacks, but ordering pizza seems to be a challenge. Whatever your pickup time is, add 10 to 15 minutes to it on a calm night. I have had 2 or 3 occasions where ei have shown up to get my food and stand there 10 to 15 minutes after already waiting the 30 after ordering on the app. The pizza is great, though. Just could use some helping making progress in the kitchen. I did once have an employee complain I was coming in for my receipt for my gas when none of the pumps will give me one cause it interrupted them smoking. The employee was smoking and pregnant. Also, nobody ever looks to enjoy that they work here. One guy always looks like he is on the edge of tears. Every...
