I don't ever leave reviews, but the experience I just had at this restaurant is so unbelievable that I have to share the story. In the almost 4 years I've eaten at PTs, I've never been treated like such a criminal over salad dressing. I was already having a bad day with God awful tooth pain & just wanted my annual reuben for St Patricks Day. For whatever reason, they don't put the 1000 island dressing on the sandwich, you have to request it. I called and placed my family's to-go order, making it clear I wanted the 1000 island dressing with my sandwich. I pull up to the window to pick my order up, and AGAIN let them know I would like the 1000 island dressing. In my opinion, a reuben isn't a reuben without the 1000 island dressing. She assures me it's in the bag, and I drive home. I pull everything out of the bag only to find out the 1000 island dressing isn't anywhere to be found. Annoying but whatever, I'll drive back and get it. I pull up to the window not even 10 minutes after leaving and explain the dressing wasn't in the bag. The lady asks my name & closes the window. She comes back and says she was sure the 1000 island dressing was in the white bag. I explain I'm very positive it wasn't and if it was, I wouldn't be back here asking for it. She closes the window again and then comes back and has the audacity to ask me if I brought the bag back for them to check. 😳🤯 The immediate rage I felt for being interrogated over a 50-cent package of KRAFT SALAD DRESSING!!! I lost my composure at this point and let the lady have it & even offered to pay for the damn dressing at that point because it wasn't ever this deep. She closes the window and comes back practically throwing the dressing at me like I was robbing them of their precious salad dressing. I had just spent $30 at your restaurant, and you have the audacity to interrogate me over some SALAD DRESSING???? Not even an expensive brand, literally KRAFT dressing. This is an extremely unfortunate event because I have never had such a horrible experience at PTs and love their food, but I will NOT be returning after that encounter. This isn't how you keep a small business open by treating your customers like criminals over salad dressing. Should I even mention the very thinly sliced pickle spear to top it all off? That sliver of a pickle was actually laughable. While I'm here, the menu prices need to be updated online also. Get it together PTs, how extremely embarrassing of your establishment today. You lost a paying customer over a salad dressing packet. Let...
Read morePT's has ALWAYS been a SPECIAL PLACE for our family. We would go here on Special Occasions, be it Someone's choice for their Birthday Dinner Out, an Anniversary Dinner, a Mother's Day, Father's Day, ETC, it has just been a SPECIAL PLACE to go. We went on Friday before Mother's Day. Got right in. Always get Excellent Service. There was No Waiting. Dad got the Mushroom and Swiss Burger which he Enjoyed. My Daughter got the Classic size Pork Tenderloin Sandwich. Incredibly Good, Juicy, and Tender. The Tenderloin is served up with Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, and Pickles. And for your Sauce you get Mayonnaise and the option to get Horseradish, which I had her get so I could have hers. And they Never Charge for the Sauces BUT they are ALWAYS on the SIDE. And myself, I got the Fried Chicken Sandwich. The Chicken Sandwich was so Juicy and Tender not to mention Awesome and Huge. They Hand Make them so they are Bigger and Better than well, most EVERY WHERE else. They Serve it up with Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, and Pickles. And for your sauce you get Mayonnaise and the option of getting Horseradish as well, which I Always opt for and there's No extra charge. I ordered Water for my Drink, so my Daughter and Dad did as well. At $3.?? Per drink it's not exactly cheap. And finally we got a FULL ORDER of Onion Rings. MISTAKE. We Should Have Gotten the HALF ORDER Since we had Plenty Left Over to Take Home. We EVEN Had the ONION RINGS Brought Out PRIOR TO Our Sandwiches. We took in with us my Cocker Spaniel Service Dog who slept under the table and my Service Kitten In Training who quietly slept in his Carrier between my Daughter and Myself. We ALL THREE had Incredible Meals, we had an Amazing time, and I had a Fantastic Early...
Read moreI found this place by chance through an online forum. I was in the area and decided to check it out due to a post about their large portion chicken fried steak. Either someone posted an old pic or this was some sort of ruse and the ole bait and switch, I definitely feel duped. I ordered a large portion of the chicken fried steak just shy of $24...I mean that's KC Strip or Ribeye pricing at TRH at this rate. But once it came out, it was definitely underwhelming as far as size was concerned. If I had to guess, it was probably around a 8oz portion (this is beefsteak mind you not).
The saving grace was that the CFS and the country white gravy was good. The mashed potatoes and green beans were bland at best: something I would imagine that was no better or worse than going to Golden Corral.
The value proposition from this certain meal was definitely on the losing end. I may try them once more and try their pork tenderloin sandwich as I saw one go out to another table which it did in fact look more appetizing...
