Absolutely incredible pastry & bakery spot! I stopped by this morning on my way to work( I actually liked it so much I went back after work to snag another one lol) and picked up some donuts along with a few other treats — and wow, every single bite instantly transported me back to the kind I would have in Japan and South Korea. The pastries are beautifully balanced, not overly sweet, and crafted with such care that you can taste the difference. If you’re someone who prefers pastries that aren’t overly sugary, this place is a must-try. I’ve visited a few other spots on the island, and most were just too sweet for my taste — but this one absolutely nailed it. What you see in the picture is their Coffee Bun with coffee flavor on the top and nice fluffy inside. What you also see here is one called Noona Bread and strawberry/cheese strudel. While the Noona bread looks very sweet, it’s definitely mild to medium in sweetness. Almost taste like a chocolate Sunday in your hand is how I would describe it and the Strawberry/Cheese strudel is also amazing and it’s only $1.00!! That’s a bargain for such a tasty treat if you ask me. The only small downside is the limited parking, but honestly, the quality of the pastries more than makes up for it. Totally worth it. To top it off, the owners are genuinely kind and welcoming — you can tell they take pride in what they do. I’ll definitely be coming back, and I hope more people give this spot a try!

I’ve been meaning to visit this bakery since it opened, but never had the opportunity until now. I finally got the chance when I dropped my truck off across the street at Les Schwab’s. I checked out Noona’s offerings and decided on a pineapple turnover and a Red Bean pastry. To be honest I chose both because I have never eaten either one before. Red Bean Cakes are an East Asian treat made from red bean paste and wrapped in a soft dough. They symbolize luck, prosperity, and ancestral respect. When you visit, they have little take away boxes and serving tongs that you use to place your orders into the box. Not everything is available for self selection. Some of the items are behind a glass display case. The Red Bean Cakes was smooth and silky with a nice soft pillowy dough around it. I took a few bites while sitting at the outside table and the proprietor asked me if I would like her to warm it up. I agreed and a few seconds later she was returning with my warmed bean cake. Maybe I have simple tastes, but I think I preferred the bean cake room temperature. Both ways were delicious, I just liked it a little better before it was warmed. The pineapple turnover was a joy to eat. I love pineapple and was not disappointed with this turnover! The dough was perfectly flaky the way turnovers should be and the pineapple filling was wonderful!

Wonderfully sweet! The food itself is light, airy and not too decadent! I’m able to eat more than one donut and not feel gross (like how other donuts make you feel) THE RED BEAN BUN 😩 at first I didn’t recognize it was a red bean bun because of the flower like shape where you can pull off smaller bites. It’s perfectly mildly sweet and the glossy crust is perfect. The ratios of the filled donuts are also perfect, not too much and not too little it’s just right!

I apologize in advance because this will be long winded but: There was a donut shop that we had in my tiny hometown that unfortunately closed before I left for the Navy in 2012. I have been searching for donuts similar to those for years with no luck. My friend has brought me goods from Noona once a week since they opened, but today I went in and picked out my own donut. I got the cinnamon bun, and the smell was very familiar to me. When I took a bite, I was transported back to Saturday mornings, as a kid, waking up to donuts waiting for me at the kitchen table. I was almost in shock, and I ran into tell my mom to try the doughnut from Noona. She said, ā€œwow the smell alone…I haven’t even smelled donuts like this since Donut Wheel!ā€ The smell, taste, and texture were so similar that we couldn’t believe it. I plan to stop in at least once a week to relive a little bit of my childhood.

TLDR: Noona donuts are amazing and have the ability to transport me back to one of my favorite things...
