Star Bakery — Restaurant in Oak Park

This bakery is HORRIBLY DISORGANIZED AND SUPER RUDE!!! I called to order a cake. Fine they tell me, but you have to come in to pay a deposit. Then you can order. So I go in to order after work. OMG! They could not quote me. They could not anwer any questions about the size of the cake. They say, "come back in the morning." Uh, hello, this lady works full time. No can do come back in the morning. They were so rude both on the initial call and on my in person visit. Did not offer to take message. Would not allow me to make a deposit and finish my order via phone in the morning. Refused to place a call to the cake baker to clarify. I have no idea how they can stay in business! Apparently Star Bakery chooses who they will give any customer service to or who they will even sell a cake to. I must not be the right...

On Tuesday Oct 14th I needed dessert treats for our retiree luncheon. I was in Southfield at an appt and googled bakeries. Star Bakery was close by and I'm so glad. The lady who assisted me was pleasant, kind and extremely knowledgeable. Guess what? Each pastry I purchased was individually wrapped and I was pleased about that as well. I also purchased a Challah loaf with raisins - wow it was fabulous and ohh so fresh and tasty 😋. There are a few exceptional dishes that every establishment makes and then there is "Star Bakery". Where everything they make is exceptional! ESPECIALLY their sweet onion rolls. I get fat just thinking about them and then of course I complete the crime and devour them.

There is a problem.. I do NOT want to give them up but I am attempting to do Weight Watchers AGAIN and need the nutritional vales as follows if I am to be allowed to partake in this epicurean delight.
