7-Eleven — Local services in Oak Park

Please take note of the time I am writing this review. It is 11:25p. The website clearly states they are open until 1a and they are closed. Here is what happened before they closed.

I pulled up to the store at 10:45p with my daughter. The person inside looked right at me then went to the rear of the store. Upo trying to open the door, we found it was locked. This never happened before. Another customer came up and shared with us that they have been closing at random times of the day and at night.

By the time the employee came back to the front of the store it was 10:58pm. I knocked on the door of which she opened it and I asked why is the door closed, it's not even 11:00 to which she stated with an unpleasant attitude, "I close at 11pm". When asked what is the purpose of the attitude, she slammed the door.

Lastly, after the exchange, she puts up a sign saying they close at 11p. Recall I mentioned that I pulled up at 10:45p not knowing the new policy, and the employee looked right at me as I was exiting my vehicle.

No, the website states 1a. If they did not have anyone to cover the shift, then it needs to be posted ahead of time, not afterwards. What I am most incensed about is the unprofessionalism of...

7-Eleven gets a lot of competition from other party stores in the area, especially just up the road on 11 Mile or 12 Mile in Berkley. Heck, the 7-Eleven barely a mile away tends to be much more consistent in products and service. I'm not really impressed. This branch sometimes manages to get the job, and more often than not, I'm walking out empty-handed or forced to make a substitution because something wasn't in stock. It's just not really worth the headache of fighting traffic or parking to go in, because I'm not running out any time soon.

The parking lot is tight and often very crowded in the morning. Access via southbound Coolidge is the way to go if you can swing it, since turning left on northbound Coolidge is often a nightmare. Do not park in Pink Garlic's lot, especially during the day.

Staff are usually pretty checked out but get the job done. They seem fairly stressed out when I've visited. The shop stays clean, mostly organized, but finding some of the stuff I'm after can be...

This is probably one of the worst seven elevens, only because they change staff every week and hire some of the strangest workers. This guy doesn't want to take my money because I said he shorted me $2 the month before. He told me to call the police. So he don't know how to count and then gets mad. The guy in front of me wanted to play 2 3 digit numbers. He was told to write it down with an attitude, then as you can hear the video, told him after he wrote it down to use the slip lol. Then I'm getting my hot water which is 38 cents and he says he's not taking my money and the police will catch up to me later lol. I can't make this...
