I did my first review on Tripadvisor and forgot to do this one!! I did my first review on Tripadvisor and forgot to do this one. I’m a food critic and I moved from Dallas, Texas. I’ve been dining in the area for one year and a half, and this hands-down is the BEST RESTAURANT IN THE WOODLANDS! I truly don’t know where to begin except for Rick is an amazing server and I got to meet Jason the GM and told him he needs to get up to Dallas and open a restaurant up north it would be fabulous. This is a complete form to Table restaurant with Wagyu beef - they start with scrumptious, soft and tender, homemade biscuits from scratch with a type of jalapeño jelly and fresh whipped butter. Decadent! Being a food critic, I had to try a bit of everything so Ricki brought me out a sample of the soup du jour, It was a beef broth soup with a bit of barley and vegetable, not too salty and just absolutely wonderful. It was perfection. I ordered the bang bang shrimp as an appetizer cooked absolutely perfectly. The shrimp was fresh just enough spiciness, and a perfect zing to start out the meal.. Served on a bed of greens. I was debating over the meatloaf which they are known for but opted for the short rib, which I am extremely picky when it comes to red meat- It did not disappoint!! Absolutely the best short rib I’ve had in the USA and my reviews are all over the place on the mainland and in Europe. This dish stood out amongst any I’ve ever had. It is served on a bed of risotto with a slight bit of spinach. It was wonderful and perfectly seasoned tender, and I cannot say enough about how wonderful it actually was.- I had a lovely glass of Sauvignon Blanc recommended by Ricky since I only do a Reisling, and he chose well! Perfect . He suggested that I close the meal with a butter cake, beautiful succulent, strawberries with a strawberry glace’ , homemade whipped cream with a bit of mint on top. it was a bit chilly so I had to tell him that I could tell it had been in the refrigerator, but had it been a bit warmer it was a fabulous decadent dessert with a great flavor of butter. Very moist. This restaurant is a GEM and anyone dining across the highway is making a huge mistake. This is hands-down the best restaurant in The woodlands ….. thank you to Jason for coming over to speak to me the GM, a fine job by all great service the hostesses at The Front all smiles follow up table service from all the other servers was absolute perfection. This restaurant is complete and I mean a complete dining experience. I felt comfortable as I was not dressed up like usual, and there was a bit of everything from really dressy to casual. That ambience was casual, but very, very classy and the restrooms are immaculate....
Read moreLast night I visited Federal American Grill with two of my girlfriends to celebrate my birthday and felt compelled to share my disappointing experience with the service provided by our waiter Ethan E. Our encounter with him left us feeling unwelcome, rushed, and ultimately ruined what should have been an enjoyable evening.
From the moment we were seated, it was evident that our waiter was disinterested and ready to end his shift. His lack of enthusiasm and genuine interest in attending to our needs was immediately noticeable. This set the tone for the entire dining experience and made us feel like an inconvenience rather than valued customers.
Throughout the evening, our waiter continuously rushed us, making us feel uncomfortable and as if we were an inconvenience to him. He frequently checked his watch and made it apparent that he wanted us to finish our meal quickly. This constant pressure to finish our food and leave created a stressful atmosphere, completely detracting from our ability to relax and enjoy our meal.
Furthermore, we had requested that our dessert be served with a candle, as we were celebrating a special occasion. However, when it arrived, our waiter's demeanor indicated that he was not pleased with our request. To our surprise and disappointment, he promptly removed the candle as I was about to blow it out. This action was not only abrupt but also reflected his lack of consideration for our celebration.
It is disheartening to have such an unpleasant experience at a restaurant that we were so excited to try for the first time. The service provided by our waiter was far from what we expected, and it left us feeling upset and uncomfortable throughout our entire meal. As paying customers, we deserve to be treated with respect and made to feel welcome, regardless of how close it is to the end of a shift.
I sincerely hope that American Federal Grill takes this feedback constructively and uses it as an opportunity to address the shortcomings in their customer service. It is crucial for the management to ensure that their staff understands the importance of making every guest feel comfortable and valued throughout their dining experience.
Unfortunately, due to the distress caused by our encounter with this particular waiter, I am hesitant to return in the future. I hope that this review serves as a wake-up call, prompting the necessary changes to prevent other customers from having a similar...
Read moreI would not waste my time or money dining here. Mangement has no integrity or respect for their guests. This review comes after reaching out to several managers including managing partner David Gomez whose email is not valid. I came into your establishment towards the end of last year and sadly had an extremely unpleasant experience with our guests. We had to call for assistance to our table several times. I spoke with Brianna about the multiple errors during our meal and how the drink presentation was a wreck. The server forgot the lighter, then left again because he forgot to get the whiskey. Also, the kitchen replaced four of the seven plates because they were wrong due to a food allergen that was not respected, undercooked burger, and poorly made food that was not on temp. I called the restaurant afterward to not further upset my guest while there. After the call, Brianna sent me her name via text to cover our meal the next time we wanted to come in. Also, the call was recorded so there is no denying what she said.
Over the past few months, I have texted her and left several messages at the restaurant to let her know we wanted to come in for an improved experience. To no avail, my attempts to move forward with her offer have been ignored. Most recently, I came into the establishment and waited 30 minutes to speak with her or to be given a gift card for the experience, but no acknowledgment or even a courtesy of coming to talk with me. Our bill was over $100 for just our ticket, which consisted of two people. I do not appreciate how this has been handled by Brianna. We only come to this area every few months to visit family. Hence, why we would reach out every so often when we were in town. The restraint has done nothing to make this right, not even offer a gift card so I could bring my family and friends whenever we were in town again without having to bother her via text and calling to...
