I had visited the local jewelers in The Woodlands Mall as well as Jared's and Diamonds Direct. It didn't take long to zone-in on Jared's or Diamonds Direct as my preferred jewelers given their selection, quality and availability. At this point, it became a negotiation between the two focusing on the highest quality attainable - an open competition between the two jewelers involving five people at one point in time not including myself. I had the pleasure of working with Victoria and Maria of Diamonds Direct in selecting an engagement ring and wedding band. Initially I met Victoria, and we naturally established a good relationship. However, Jared's was not giving up without a fight and also actively competed for my business. Victoria then gained the support from her General Manager, i.e., Maria, in working to secure a diamond that would totally amaze the person it was intended. My negotiations between the two jewelers continued for approximately six days as we shopped loose diamonds for the perfect stone given dynamic market pricing, dynamic availability, desired quality metrics, negotiated bands, band material, the wedding band diamonds, matching the wedding band stones to the engagement ring, etc. In the end, it was Victoria and Maria who secured the sale in establishing the best combination of both a beautiful arrangement and the absolute best "WoW factor" I could hope for all within the realm of what I agreed to spend.
