I have mixed feelings about this place. This will be a slightly different review than I normally do (and I do a few) because my experience might not apply to most people.
I didn't have the food but those in my party who did seemed to enjoy it, so there's that out of the way. As for the atmosphere... We've been to Pete's a few times and I think we were expecting something really similar and I can't say that it was quite the same. I can't really put my finger on it but at Pete's you kind of feel like everyone is there together; like it's a single group of friends. It's hard to leave at the end of the night! Here, it was practically empty at I think midnight. I think part of the problem was that they kept turning the lights on, it just seemed to bright inside from time to time. It didn't feel very cohesive.
Another thing I didn't really like is that I have a service dog and reserved a table for four people, and when we got there the front tables were empty but they walked us all the way to the back wall. This could be because that's just where it reservation put us but from experience I've learned that oftentimes places decide where THEY think the best place for US would be. That's a little offensive to me, because I have a really big personality and I love to be right in the action. It's like don't worry about my cardiac alert dog, she's damned used to the chaos. Put me where the action is, please!
The last thing is that at Pete's - and this was a while ago so maybe it's different now - they let people play instruments on a song if they really knew the song. My fiancĂŠ is a professional musician, he's a bassist in a 10 piece classic rock band and he's played something like over a thousand gigs (he has two next weekend actually). Here at Two Tones they kept saying "we will do anything for your money!! ANYTHING!!" So my fiancĂŠ tipped $120 to show off on stage because he's a hot shot on bass, complete rock star and he would've brought down the house. (Because he's a hot shot.) They refused the request, returned $100 of the tip, and actually were a little snippy about the whole thing. "This ISN'T open mic!! Stick around for karaoke after the show." Maybe the guy was in a hurry or whatever, and I get that. But he kind of acted like I was rude for even asking, when it's a thing at Pete's and how was I to know? First time there and they kept saying we'll do anything at all. And honestly the show petered out way too soon and maybe 30 minutes after that they could've used some more excitement and maybe that would've helped, lol... The place was empty at midnight, it was very strange.
So for most people I think they'd enjoy it at Two Tones but for me personally I had a just ok time. Between being shuffled to the back and not hearing my rockstar show off on stage and the snippyness of the dude and not being able to party until 2 (because that's my jam)... It was just ok for me. But I think most other people would probably dig it enough to have a pretty good time. I guess it depends on your personality and...
   Read moreWorst birthday experience ever!
Rude and unwelcoming servers!
Total ripoff of $300âŚ..Not following what we got at the price of $300 for a party of 10âŚ..When at $10 per person, which comes to $105 with the booking fee. SO WHERE IS THE VALUE IN THE HIGH TOP TABLE AT $300! WHAT DID I REALLY GET FOR THE UPSALE!
The 4 top round tables front and second row get jello-shots with the reservation. Our $300 buy-in table gets NOTHING INCLUDED and purchased jello-shots a la cart at $50.
Could not see anything from where we sat and there were other high tops tables available next closer to the W where visibility of the stage was much better.
Tipped $20 for song requests that WERE NEVER PLAYED! Not ONE SONG was played the entire night we were their.
Throughout the night birthdays of at least 10 people were called out and asked come on stage their birthday BUT my parties birthday WAS NEVER ACKNOWLEDGED NOR WAS HER NAME CALLED OUT!
The HIGH TOP TABLE next to use, also celebrating a birthday, the guest was called up to the stage for his shout out and celebration acknowledgement. Another guest whose birthday that night, 2 HIGH TOP TABLES OVER from us also got called up to the stable for her shout out!!!!
SO WHAT HAPPENED WHERE OUR PARTY WAS OVERLOOKEDâŚ..FELT VERY RACIALLY DEVIDED AND EXCLUDEDâŚ.. ITS A SHAME THAT IN 2024 A PATRON FEELS THIS WAY AND IT STARTED WITH JON WHO AFTER NOT BEING ABLE TO UPSELL THE VIP BOOTH AT $1000 JUST SOLD WHATEVERâŚâŚ.NEVER ACKNOWLEDGING AND NEVER SAID THANK YOU FOR YOUR BUSINESSâŚ..HE WAS TOO WORRIED ABOUT SELLING THE $1000 VIP BOOTH
A REAL Dueling Piano establishment would not be pushing the audience to tip higher in order to get their requested songs playedâŚ..and let me add OUR REQYESTS WERE NEVER PLAYED!
Tips added to each of the tabs above what each of us indicated and shots added to my tab that I did not order!
From the other reviews it seems as though thereâs a pattern and MANAGEMENT DOESNT SEEM TO HAVE ADDRESSED THE CONCERNS BECAUSE THEY ARE STILL HAPPENING NOW SOME 8 MONTHS LATER!!!
Horriblly dissatisfied &...
Read moreWe recently had our annual company party at Two Tones Dueling Pianos in The Woodlands, and oh boy, did we hit the jackpot with this place! The venue has a laid-back vibe that instantly puts you at ease, but donât let that casual facade fool you. The talent here is anything but casual.
The stars of the show are the piano players who also happen to own the place. These guys (and gals) are wizards on the keys, and their comedic banter had us rolling. They play off each other effortlessly, tossing jokes back and forth while hammering out tune after tune. (I donât think there is a song they donât know!) Whether it was belting out old favorites, classic country, gangster rap or even Disney, they had us hooked with every note.
Now, letâs talk about the audience participation. They have have a knack for pulling the crowd into their act, making everyone feel like part of the show. Before we knew it, our whole crew was singing along, clapping, and laughing out loud. Itâs the kind of place where you can cut loose, belt out a chorus with your buddies, and laugh till your cheeks hurt.
The dueling aspect adds a fun twist, making the musical face-off not just a show, but a high-energy interactive experience. Itâs clear the performers love what they do, and their enthusiasm is downright contagious.
In a nutshell, Two Tones Dueling Pianos is a blast. It's the perfect place to unwind, enjoy some top-notch tunes, and share a whole lot of laughs. Our company party was a hit, thanks to the fantastic atmosphere and the unmatched talent of the performers. Weâre already talking about making this our go-to spot for future events. If youâre in for a night of great music and belly laughs, Two Tones is the...
