I was thrilled when I moved to Woodlands area to find one of my favorite restaurants, Guadalajara had a location near me. Anxiously awaiting to try this location, my daughters and I planned a date... I am extremely reluctant to say this; all 4 of us were majorly disappointed!
Time: 1:21 pm Saturday afternoon - the parking lot was about 60% filled, and there was no line at the door.
Service: (1 of 5 Stars) As we walk to the hostess stand, we stood there for a bit without being noticed - as both hostess were playing on their phones. As we where acknowledged, I asked for a table for 4. Without any sort of smile or greeting, the hostess says "come on". The restaurant its self was about 60% filled as well, however, the hostess sat us close to the entrance where all tables were filled; making us have to stand and wait while the two tables on the sides of us where being bussed. She sat down two damaged menus and one paper brunch menu, and stated "you can sit when they finish" and walked away. Before we could even sit, the waitress hurried over and said "I am busy, I will be back in a few minutes to take your drink orders."
The waitress, much friendlier than the hostess, took our drink orders in a hurry. When I began to ask questions about the margaritas, she said "I will be back to answer; I need to take [the table next to us] order first." When the waitress did come back, we went ahead and ordered food at the same time, because they were clearly very busy. Again, upon asking questions about the menu; we were hurried.
The bus staff was the friendliest and most helpful. Anytime our drinks, chips, or salsa was low; the bus staff had it filled immediately. They even asked how our food was tasting and would ask if we needed anything else.
Quality of Food: (3 of 5 Stars) Ordered: Queso, Guacamole, 2 margaritas, 2 lemonades, 1 sprite, 1 large mixed quesadilla, 1 lunch special cheese enchilada with flautas, and 1 veggie enchilada plate, two al la cart sides of rice and beans.
Chips and Salsa - stale and salsa was clearly not fresh. Queso Blanco - not fresh, had burned cheese from cooking process. Guacamole - fresh Margarita - delicious, very well made Quesadilla - very dry meat, both the steak and chicken but the flavor was really good. Did not come with sour cream only pico. Cheese enchilada with flautas - delicious, and great presentation Veggie enchilada plate - used fresh veggies, best veggie enchiladas I have had. Black beans - tasted like sweet pork and beans, and were clearly not fresh Rice - average
Price: (2 of 5 Stars) Our total was $121, for 2 appetizers, 2 plates, 3 drinks, 2 sides, and 2 margaritas. In my opinion, the service and food quality did not warrant this price.
We left a $20 tip, in hopes that this restaurant splits tips with the bus staff.
Lastly, we do not recommend this restaurant and will not...

I went on a date to Guadalajara Hacienda because I had been craving some of the Lime- Marinated Beef Fajitas.
I must say that Martel the server was A1 with this review IS NOT aimed at the service I received.
I request the lime marinated fajitas and I think the kitchen dropped the ball and gave me regular beef fajitas.
I told Martel that this wasn’t the marinated fajitas that I’m use to eating. He took the fajitas to the back and they just put some lime juice on them and brought them back out.
It still didn’t taste like the deep lime marinated fajitas that I’ve gotten from the many times before.
I spoke with the “manager “ I assumed since he was going around to the table asking the guests if everything was ok.
He told me that all the fajitas are marinated in lime but the “ Lime-Marinated fajitas are sprinkled with a lime pepper seasoning during cooking or something like that to give them the extra lime flavor.
I didn’t really buy that because the “ Lime-marinated beef fajitas taste different and look different to me.
You can taste that bold lime flavor when you bite into the “lime marinated fajita meat”.
I feel that I was charged for the lime marinated fajitas and I received the regular beef fajitas due to the kitchen dropping the ball.
They did bring out a complimentary sopapillas but I would’ve rather had my lime-marinated fajitas!
It was a damper in the dining experience but I didn’t want to be a pain in the but so I just ate it.
Food is never the same when you have to send it back to the kitchen. Once they put the lime on it, my skillet wasn’t even sizzling anymore.
I wish they would’ve just made the order correctly. Our tab was $116+ and I was somewhat forced to leave a good tip, because I knew it wasn’t the waiters fault.
I feel like I was somewhat bamboozled but I didn’t want it to ruin my night on the town.
I may have to look elsewhere for lime-mariated due to this being the 2nd time that I’ve endured this problem.
This place is awesome!!! A1 service upon entering the establishment until I left!!
