Edited : My old review below is from 12/2024 where I rated 1/5. Today 04/2025, I saw my friend post some pics of her 92 Chicken and it looked totally different from my experience. Thus after talking with her, I decided to give the same snow chicken another try. The chicken itself was the same, bland. But, the sauce was totally different. Last time the sauce was white and watery. It looked as unappealing as it tasted. Today, the sauce was creamy and beige with different herbs and ingredients in it. It was delicious. It coated the onion slices and stayed on the chicken. I would not suggest trying out the original flavour because that is equivalent to trying no flavour. Definitely get your chicken coated in a sauce. I did get the radishes again to be safe and they were just as good as the first time. I am upgrading my rating from a 1 star to a 4 star as I think the chicken breading could use some improvement. I'll be trying out another flavour next time. Old Review: I was very excited to try out this supposed "Korean Fried Chicken" because my favorite Korean Fried Chicken place is all the way in Davie, and I live north of Ft. Lauderdale. My favorite Korean Fried Chicken place (CM) also has the Snow Onion option, which I love so much. So, I was SUPER happy to see it on the menu & ordered it with a side of radishes. UNFORTUNATELY, the chicken was tasteless & so was the snow onion sauce. Onions were the only thing that had any flavor, so all I ate was a mouthful of raw onions. The snow onion sauce was more like onion water, it had barely any viscosity to it and did not want to coat the chicken. Back to the chicken, the batter had absolutely no flavor nor did the chicken itself. I've had Korean Fried Chicken from multiple Korean restaurants, and I'm sorry but this chicken should have some flavor if it's done Korean style. It doesn't taste as though it's been marinated. The batter has no seasoning in it, which it should if you're not going to properly marinate the chicken. The best thing I ordered was the pickled radish, at least that tasted right & of something. I ordered chicken, at a chicken place, and only thing I got with any taste were radishes & onions. Extremely disappointed. I guess we'll have to keep making the trek all the way to Davie for some Korean Fried Chicken. I give 1 star for the...
Read moreIt's pretty tough to find 'good' fried chicken. KFC nowadays is hit or miss & Popeye's flavor profile, I dont enjoy it anymore. Hence, I was enthusiastic after finding this place & seeing the great reviews. First visit, they were out of drumsticks. Second visit, I finally ordered the original fried chicken, drums, and sadly I was disappointed as a first impression. Unfortunately, the drums were overcooked. Pics posted you can see how dark the chicken looks. The skin was crispy but very crumbly and was just falling / flaking off. When biting into a fried drum, once you pass the delicious crispy skin, you then get right into the tender meat. What I received, the meat underneath the skin was fried as well, therefore, making it hard. Essentially I had to peel those top layer pieces off in order to get to the softer part of the meat underneath. Even in doing so, the chicken was dry. Also, no seasoning at all. A little salt and black pepper in the batter maybe? I understand they add flavors but for the plain recipe some seasoning would have been nice. The chicken on the left is from 92 and on the right is from a new spot I found. That chicken, right, was well seasoned, perfectly cooked and perfectly crispy and this was my 2nd visit with the same results. I may visit 92 again because there are a couple of other items I'd still like to try. Maybe it was an off day, but for the prices on this menu they need to do their due diligence to get it right as much...
Read moreTonight I went to 92 Chicken for the first time and I really loved the experience.
I went with one friend and we tried the Honey Butter Fries, Pickled Radish, Snow Onion, Green Onion, Kimchi, Tteokbokki, half cheese and half meat corn dog, fried dark meat boneless chicken, and bone in wings. To drink we split a pink Pina colada smoothie with boba.
The green onion was super fresh! As was the snow Onion, which also came with this great creamy sauce. The kimchi was fresh and we were told it was home made. I have no problem believing that!
The corn dog was great, and the batter was great and the cheese was well melted, and the hot dog inside was great.
I loved the fries and the Tteokbokki, both were great. The Tteokbokki had a great sauce and had really nice fish cake in it as well.
Without a doubt though the chicken was the star of the show. I love bone in wings, but the boneless dark meat was my favorite. It was super crispy, and juicy. This was not just a chicken finger. This was well marinated dark meat freshly diced, battered and fried.
I made the drive from Boynton, but I would drive a much longer way for this food. I absolutely can't wait...
