Freshly made to order Empanadas. These are baked not fried empanadas which makes a difference in the texture and taste and fresh ingredients of Lazo Empanadas. Flaky pastry crust, not a heavy dough consistency as most fried empanadas are made of, you can taste the difference of the fillings very flavorful. I got the Steak Quesadilla, Spinach & Cheese and Guava & Cream Cheese. You get a burst of flavor with every bite. Empanadas come in medium size only. Good selection of 14 Flavors. Large selection of canned beverages. They sell packaged vegan ice cream in a few selection of flavors as well. Didn't get a chance to taste ice cream for review. Excellent friendly staff. Good service, and the place was very clean. They serve empanadas and that’s it which is what I was looking for. The empanadas looked good and had a solid texture. Has a real good juicy element to it when bitting in so get some napkins. Lots of different kinds, from beef, chicken, steak, sweets and other combinations with cheese. Restaurant has sauces that I’ve never seen before to go with the empanadas. I would say all flavors were a bit mild. Even spicy was mild, no real deep traditional flavors, or spices.

All around good experience, they were hot and fresh a little salt would have made it perfect. So if you prefer a less authentic and more mainstream this is a 10.

If looking for deep authentic flavors, you may be a bit disappointed. Especially considering the price near $3 on average for...

First off the owner is very friendly and welcomes you at the door. Me and my boyfriend order seven empanadas, 2 spicy chicken which was very juicy but no over juicy and just enough spices to make it very flavorful ( which was my favorite). 2 steak which we found very hearty, delicious and not overly juicy. 2 beef which had a very nice sweet aspect to it and very savory (which was my boyfriends favorite), and to top it off we had 1 nutella & banana which was loaded with nutella and sprinkled with powdered sugar and it was great way to end our meal. Overall owner is very nice, food is absolutely wonderful ( best empanadas I've had), they are packed with filling, one thing I recommend is make sure you ask for some extra napkins because things are about to get...
