We stumbled upon Bear Creek Coffee and Creamery while visiting the gift shop next door, and I’m so glad we did. I initially walked in just looking for a cup of coffee—but quickly realized it was also an ice cream shop, and a really cute one at that!
The inside is super clean and cheerful, with a fun red, yellow, and burgundy tiled floor, bright red pendant lights, and a retro soda fountain vibe. There’s a long counter full of Hershey’s ice cream options, plus a full coffee bar with lots of syrups and a smoothie menu. Several tables inside make it a great place to take a break and enjoy your treat.
Service was excellent. There was one young woman working behind the counter on the afternoon of Sunday, July 13th, and she was absolutely fantastic. Despite a growing line, she stayed calm, efficient, and friendly. I wish I’d gotten her name—whoever manages this place should know what a gem they have in her.
I ordered the cherry vanilla milkshake, and it was incredible—rich and creamy, with real cherry pieces and just the right balance of flavor. We also got a vanilla cone, and even the small size was generous. We wanted to try the mint chocolate chip, but they were out. The employee even offered to make something similar using other ingredients, which was thoughtful, though we ended up going with another flavor.
This spot feels like a hidden gem—whether you’re in the mood for coffee, ice cream, or just a cool place to relax, it’s worth the stop. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area… and I’ll be trying the...
Read moreReally disappointing; I’d expect even a bare minimum of customer service, and we didn’t get that.
I ordered an Americano, and hoped for a 12 or even 20 ounce but was told “we can only do 8.” An Americano is two things - espresso and hot water. When I tried to ask about modifying the drink I was rebuffed.
The 10 oz drink I got had, I think, only one espresso shot in it. The people in line behind me joked “who orders Americano, it’s watered down coffee” - well, if this is what they’re accustomed to getting, I can see why they’d think that.
The other drinks we ordered were similarly disappointing. We were hoping for some delightful Black Friday morning treats and were very let down. I would encourage the ownership and the staff to learn more about coffee preparation and how to do better at...

It was an unusually cold June day — even by Garrett County standards — but that didn’t stop us from checking out Bear Creek Coffee & Creamery, and I’m glad we did. The place was nearly empty, likely due to the weather, but that just meant we had this cozy little gem all to ourselves.
Despite the chill in the air, I couldn’t resist a scoop of their Hershey’s Roadrunner Raspberry ice cream — and it was absolutely worth it. Rich, creamy, and bursting with that sweet-tart raspberry flavor, it was the perfect treat no matter the temperature.
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and you can tell this place is built on small-town charm and quality. Whether it’s hot or cold, Bear Creek Coffee & Creamery is always a sweet stop...
