Miss Saigon — Restaurant in Oakland

BEWARE of this filthy restaurant with no integrity! Tonight I ordered the chicken noodle Pho to be delivered (though Grubhub), it came only for me to find out that the vegetables inside of the bag (containing basil leaves, slices jalapeno, sliced onion, cilantro and a lemon wedge were covered in a white slime) aka rotten. I called, didn't receive any sort of acknowledgement only "I'll send more vegetables"...Okay...so I wait for 30 minutes & a whole new soup comes with a new bag of vegetables, delivery guy is apologetic and bam..same problem. Vegetables are slimy, cilantro is black-basically rotten veggies again. I call to let the guy know that I am not interested in his soup with rotten vegetables and I would like a refund, no sorry, no nothing, just okay and hangs up on me.

Well I ordered through GrubHub and I get a message from them letting me know that this dirt-bag doesn't want to refund my money, he will only issue a credit for his filthy restaurant...seriously?? Who in their right mind would go back to a place that has such low standards and no integrity? I call the owner up and he tells me no one else has had a problem with the soup or the vegetables except for me. I tell him to send his guy over to pick up the rotten food and he can examine it himself-he doesn't want to hear this he wants to pretend that I'm trying to get 2 soups for free...as if...and he's refusing to refund the money.

DON'T BUY FOOD FROM THIS FILTHY RESTAURANT THAT SERVES ROTTEN VEGETABLES AND THEN TRIES TO KEEP YOUR MONEY. Go somewhere else that has standards and integrity don't support a business who rips people off!

I'm sure the health department will love to hear all about this guy. Good...

I saw this place here on Google and decided to check it out with my friend and I after a long hike (and in most cases, with a hungry stomach, ANY food is delicious!) In this case, it was the opposite. When we first walked in, it was very poorly decorated (even the wall outside the bathroom was stocked with beer where it hindered the walking space). We were looking to get a nice bowl of Pho. Upon receiving the menu, I instantly noticed the prices were ridiculous. Being a pho fanatic, I know a solid, bowl of pho is an average cost of $5-$8, and that's for a BIG bowl. Not here, there's two sizes to choose from, a small and a large, the small was around $8 or $9. and the large was about $10. I ordered the small, and when I received it, I wondered to myself where the rest of it was. I could have easily eaten it in two bites. Not only that, but they didn't give you the NORMAL plate of vegetable toppings like most pho places do. They gave me a couple sprigs of mint and basil and small lime pieces. Not even any bean sprouts! I know, right?!! The sauce/dressing only consisted of soy sauce, hoisen sauce and sriacha. Very slim there too. I was just overall not pleased and would not even think twice about coming back here. If you're craving pho, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere! There's wayyyyyyyyyyy more better places in Oakland to eat pho than to come here. Truthfully, I just think that since this restaurant is in a nice place where upper-middle class Don't get me wrong, maybe there's good food there, just not the pho. It's definitely not genuine Vietnamese pho spot like you could get...

It pains me to give a bad review to this place because I've enjoyed it many times over the years. The waiter seem to have some difficulty with my friend and I. We are both transgender women. I recognize when somebody is uncomfortable with that and he clearly was. His behavior was nervous agitated and he was not able to look either of us in the eye. That's not uncommon and neither of us was particularly concerned. I even gave a moderate tip. I should have been very concerned and going forward I will have to be. I am absolutely convinced that young man tainted my food and is responsible for food poisoning me. If I could prove it I would have him arrested. I was clearly exposed to contaminated food. The onset of my poisoning is perfectly consistent with the timing of my visit. In the unlikely chance that he was not responsible for poisoning me, his deplorable behavior is enough to award one star. If you're not a member of a group the waitstaff objects to, you will probably not be served poison food. But if you believe in Justice you will not go to...
