Update Raised their prices and the quantity has been reduced by A LOT. Quality also reduced by A LOT.
Their fried oysters were my favorite until now. They were generous and perfectly seasoned and fried. The size of the oysters were glorious before. Now they are tiny, SUPER oily, and just a soggy mess, and you only get 6 now! Very disappointing, I dont think I can go back, its too expensive for not so great food.
Original post I ordered to go since were in this super fun COVID lockdown. Everything was amazing. The food arrived quickly, and at the perfect temperature.
The deep fried oysters are extremely fresh and perfectly battered and fried. Batter was flavorful and perfectly crusted, without overcooking the oysters at all. The oysters were still delicate and soft on the inside.
The slaw was full of flavor and absolutely beautiful. I also ordered a pickle plate and oh my god, so good! I would have never thought that drizzling delicious olive oil on the pickles would be a thing, but it totally is. Unbelievable.
Would definitely want to go in person once everything reopens. If the take out was this good, I cant imagine how it would be at...
Read moreHave been wanting to try this place for a while because the food always looked good as I walked past on Farmers Market Fridays. Tried the Big Sur Melt (shrimp grilled cheese) partner had The Burger and a friend tried the soup of the day which was a delicious, no frills lentil soup. Everything was superb, the grilled cheese had just enough going on in it, was incredibly filling and as someone who can sometimes have issues with lactose, this sandwich did not cause any problems. It also came with a pickled carrot and some green olives on the side! Yummy. The burger felt like it was prepped like a steak, simple seasoning with a delicious garlicky buttery aioli and all the fresh tomatoes, pickles, pickled onion and greens to make it a great meal. The outside seating garden area is cute and comfortable, the server was so sweet and quick to problem solve when we had a small mixup with our entrees and I can definitely see myself coming back...
Read moreLol first of all I have no idea why none of the reviews say this but it’s not a real restaurant it’s basically a market with a counter there’s some outdoor seating and inside there’s some bench seating but for the prices it doesn’t really make sense since it’s not the real restaurant five you’re probably looking for. I went in on a Wednesday evening and I Asked the guy at the counter which oysters there were and he Mention two different ones. For a place that’s known for their oysters I think it’s kind of ridiculous that they only have two types. I then asked him what the types tasted like and what varieties they were from and where and his response was oh I don’t eat oysters. Again, I feel like if this place is supposed to be known for their oysters the staff would know more… ended up leaving bc the vibe...
