UC Dessert — Restaurant in Oakland

By far the worst customer service experience I've ever had. Arrived and there was one table left, the guy working the front said there were no more places. We said what about that table, he said, sure but it's uncomfortable. Then a group came and sat there from behind us and he said it's full and we could order to go. We placed our order and after waiting 10 minutes, he came and said our order would be 10 more minutes minimum and we could come back later. It was pouring rain, but at that minute a table opened up. We asked if we could take the table and eat our food there instead. He said no, it was too late to change our order to a to stay order. He said the staff had already started making it... even though 1 minute before that he had told us it would be a long wait because lots of people were ahead of us. We asked to cancel our order and leave. When canceling our order he said to keep our receipt because he didn't want us coming back later claiming we never got a refund. My friend is an UberEats courier and she told me a horrible story about this place! She said that she picked up an order for a disabled family. From based on what she told me.. This family ordered 9 or 10 items and they forgot majority of it and basically they asked the customer to drive to them and pick up the remainder order they never included in the first order. So here is where the courier (my friend) came in. As soon as she arrived to UC Dessert, they gave her the other order to deliver to them and threw the money inside the bag with the food!!!!!!!!!! The EF?!?! That is just sick that just breaks health code and protocol!! I guess my friend told them that they were yelling at the poor family over the phone!! Based on this story, I decided to check them out on Yelp, I see good reviews and some bad ones.. So to this.. I don't think I will ever step foot in this...

I came, sat down, ordered, waited for OVER 1 hour just for 1 SINGLE ORDER. service was horrible. I waited that long just for the host to pack my food to go in the end when he gave it to me, saying that we can’t eat there anymore because the place is closing. ALSO when i sat there for over an hour, no one ever cleaned our table it was still dirty with other people’s food. THE FOOD THEY GAVE US was in BAD QUALITY IT WAS ALL MELTED and disgusting.
