Back in the days me and my homies would stay out late party all night long eating early hours of morning. That was party and mob life until our place got raided and our international connection also went down. This was back when this place was ABC Bakery for those that don't know. Certainly not fond memories, but that's what this seat means to me that I'm seated at tonight. Sobo Ramen Pop-up is operated from 9 p.m. to midnight on fri/sat only with shared space from their regular ramen joint. You can sit at counter or table no guarantee if it's busy though. Workers just transition over once other is closed up. Pop-up menu isn't as extensive, but cover most basic dishes and bowl. Ramen was decent at this time of the night more flavors than their normal seating side. Broth was f*cking delicious that I actually tip bowl and drink it. The lychee cocktail was pretty good and strong with a plump juicy lychee floating on top. I enjoy my late night ramen meal and won't mind returning for other cocktails. Well, that's a introduction of who I am and what I did in the past. I've clean up my life running numerous successful business in vegas and soon one in the bay area too. #oaklandchinatown #pacificrenaissance #garageparking #goodservicefromstaff #quickbitewithminimalwaittime #cashorcreditaccepted #strongcocktail #limitedmenuoption...

In so glad this place opened up for dine in again! I was here a few times pre-pandemic and I gotta say they still have the same great service and food.

I decided to go here twice last week. The first day I had the Tan-Tan Ramen with chicken karage. The chicken was super tender and the dipping sauce they had was great. It was lemony and complimented the chicken really well. The Ramen was also superb. The chili noodles had the right amount of spice where I could still taste everything in the dish and I really liked the broth.

The day after I went back and got the Country Ramen as well as the vegetable gyoza. The gyoza had a nice shell (not thick at all) and the filling had a really nice flavor. This Ramen was also super good. The broth had a nice flavor profile and had some depth to it. I'm glad I went back a second time to enjoy something else I had my eye one.

Both times they also gave me a complimentary 3 piece fried gyoza as well that was a great addition. I was super happy with the wait staff and I'm definitely going back...

We got really cold watching the sunset over San Francisco and decided the best way to warm up was with some ramen. After a quick check, we decided on Sobo Ramen since it was close-by and still open at 8pm. We were greeted right away when we entered and we're told to take our time looking over the menu. We decided on the Tonkotsu ramen with black sesame oil, and Spicy Miso. We were told it would take 10 minutes for our food to be ready so we ordered a beer for the wait ( theres a collaboration beer sold there). Our food was done sooner than the 10 minute window provided which we were happy about, and we were also given some extra freebies which we weren't aware of until we got home. Our drive took about 15 minutes but the broth was still piping hot as was the rest of our food. The packaging was sturdy and looked cute too which made the meal feel like we were dining out at home. We will definitely go to Sobo Ramen again in the...

I recently ordered the Glazed Pork Belly Ramen from Soba Ramen, hoping for a satisfying meal. Unfortunately, I have to give this place a one-star review. The Tonkotsu broth in the ramen was mediocre at best, lacking the depth of flavor I had expected. The glazed pork belly, a key component of the dish, was surprisingly flavorless, which was a major letdown. To add to my disappointment, the choice of pickled red onions as a garnish seemed out of place and didn't enhance the overall taste. Moreover, the ramen was overpriced for what it offered, leaving me underwhelmed. The toppings were peculiar, and the noodles had an unfortunate mushy texture. Considering the hefty price tag of $19, I was honestly expecting a more generous selection of toppings, such as bean sprouts or mushrooms, to complement the dish and justify the cost. Unfortunately, my first experience with Soba Ramen left me feeling unsatisfied and disappointed.

Spicy Miso Ramen was full of many goodies. But we will start with the noodles as it had a good bite and chew to it. The noodles have a distinct taste and was cooked perfectly. The broth was a bit full as it covered up much of the goodies such as the pork charsiu, Shitake mushroom, sliced woods ear mushrooms, seaweed, egg, sprouts, and scallions. The meal was hardy and with spicy chili sesame oil. Improvements suggested that broth be less salty, char siu have more of a roasted flavor and color, egg could be slightly cooked less, and also presentation should enhance the plentiful amount of goodies with the Ramen dish. I did enjoy and would return to try additional items. Thank you Sobo Ramen.

My family and I love this place. We eat here at least once a month, perhaps more during cold season. The broth is very good particularly the spicy black tonkotsu. Meat is just right and the whole bowl is simple, just how ramen should be. A simple comfort food. My wife and I have been in many ramen places around the Bay Area that are ranked or rated high on several sites and even from TV food shows and I can honestly say that Sobo Ramen is among the best we have tasted. I just wish there are more options for appetizers but we love it here! We are regulars here by now and we are welcomed here like family each time we eat at Sobo Ramen. It is SOBOlicious!!!
