Title: Yoshi's: A Symphony of Flavors and Melodies Review: Stepping into Yoshi's at 510 Embarcadero West is akin to embarking on a multisensory journey where palates are indulged, and souls are serenaded. Tucked in the vibrant cradle of Oakland, Yoshi's isn't just a venue; it's an institution, a harmonious blend of fine Japanese dining, thirst-quenching libations, and enthralling live performances. Right from the get-go, Yoshi's sets the tone with its sumptuous Japanese culinary offerings. Each dish is a canvas of flavors, showcasing the delicate artistry and tradition of Japanese cuisine. Pair that with a drink from their eclectic bar, and you're set for the first act of a memorable evening. But the pièce de résistance is undeniably the performance auditorium. Small, yet impactful. Intimate, yet grand. At Yoshi's, you're not just attending a concert; you're part of an experience. The kind of experience where each note strikes a chord, and every melody tells a story. With a line-up of phenomenal artists gracing its stage, it's no wonder Yoshi's has carved its niche as one of the top venues for live music aficionados. So, whether you're in it for the sushi, the sips, or the songs, Yoshi's promises an enchanting evening. And a little insider tip: always consider pre-booking your tickets, because magic like this tends to sell out fast. Dive into the Yoshi's experience; where every night is a crescendo of culture, cuisine, and chords. 🍣🎶🎷🍸🌆

Servers and staff very friendly and helpful for our first visit to the restaurant and venue. Provided a yellow ticket with seating assignment for after dinner music show. Cucumber Shizo cocktail leaned towards the sweet syrupy side, which most would like but I did not prefer. Not quite to the level of a true cocktail bar with more balanced flavors. The tequila and soda I ordered at the show had a strange taste. Octopus salad was okay, a bit tough. Sashimi was very fresh with nice sized portions. Sushi rolls were overly large 2-3 bites and really need to be more manageable. Food was brought out “family style” and that just means they bring it all at once in a massive rush so there is no pacing. This might work for larger groups and tables, but our little 2 top was too crowded. Atmosphere was nice and matched the fancier reputation of Yoshi’s. All levels of dress. We drove 90 mins to eat and watch a show. We would come back for just a show. You can order food then instead of eating at the restaurant, if you prefer.

Yoshi's has been around forever as far as I'm concerned... I was introduced to Yoshi's as a Jazz Venue. I didn't know they hold all sorts of other shows as well. It's a great venue to come see a show. Cozy, with good views and a decent sound system and some very good performances... Just don't eat over here! While it's nice to see the food is finally getting better, it's far from good. At least it's not as abysmal as it used to be. There are sooo many better options in the surrounding area, especially at the same price points. The drinks are pretty good though. #Adulting: ~ zamani mojito - 4/5 - toki japanese whiskey, pineapple juice, lemon A solid creative Mojito, it does taste different, but in a good way. ~ state of zen - 4/5 - roku japanese gin , lemon , cucumber , shiso leaf A refreshing Gin Cocktail. Light & satisfying. Bites ~ Japonese - 3/5 A mediocre Sushi Roll. You can get something comparable at Safeway...I kid you not. ~ DUCK CONFIT SPRING ROLL - 3/5 Just a crispy fried roll. The name, the presentation and the description sound much better. It's OK, not bad, definitely edible, but nothing to brag about. Do yourself a favor, go eat elsewhere and come in a bit early for a drink or two then go enjoy the show. Your taste buds and wallet will thank you!

Yoshi’s, located within the Jack London Square waterfront district in Oakland CA, is the place to go watch and get wowed by the most amazing musicians. I had the pleasure of watching Spyro Gyra. I’ve been a fan for a very long time. We had the Kazuo Omakase and the togarashi kurobuta pork chop. Yummmmm!!! The place was packed and there was a long line of diners who were patiently waiting to be seated. The staff were so attentive and would check on us while making sure that everyone else was having a great time. The delicious food, their loyal patrons, their “must-see” shows, and amazing service … unbelievable experience … priceless ❤️ By the way, don’t forget to bring your loop. I brought and used mine to help focus on how amazing Spyro Gyra entertained us with a number of classic hits from their albums … good times 😍

Food was phenomenal and the restaurant server was great. However, the server in the jazz area was disappointing. She was kinda slow and when I paid cash, she kept .89 change and only gave me the bills back. But the live music was amazing. Eric Darius blew the top off!
