I often visit Dunkin' because I enjoy their products, including their food and new drink releases. I’ve regularly gone to this location and haven't had many issues—until recently.
A few weeks ago in October, I went through the drive-thru to try their Pumpkin Spice Latte. My sister was ordering from the passenger side, and they had trouble hearing her, so I repeated her order. Someone on the mic responded with an attitude, saying they couldn’t hear her but could hear "the other girl" (me) better. I ordered a Pumpkin Spice Latte and specifically requested no whipped cream. When I got to the window, my drink still had whipped cream on it. I politely reminded them that I had asked for no whip, and another employee, with an attitude, fixed my order. I thanked them and wished them a good day, but the woman who had given me attitude didn’t respond.
This morning, around 8 AM, I returned to the same Dunkin' and noticed they still hadn’t fixed the drive-thru sound system. I ordered an Iced Coffee with Marshmallow Ube Syrup and Creamer, but the drive-thru screen displayed my order as Iced Coffee with 2 Marshmallow Syrups, 2 Caramel Swirls, and 3 creamers—completely wrong. I asked them to correct it, as I had never requested Caramel Swirl in my drink. I eventually received my order, but a few hours later, I realized they had forgotten my Spider Donut. When I went back to the location to report the missing donut, they spent about five minutes trying to find my order. When they finally did, I drove up to the window, and the same woman who had given me attitude before handed me the donut. It was in a bag, covered in napkins. I thanked her, and she responded with a sarcastic “uh huh” before slamming the window shut.
Needless to say, I won’t be coming back to this location anytime soon. Instead, I’ll be going to the Gainesville location on Queen City Parkway or Thompson Bridge Road.
You can clearly see in the pictures how they had to modify my drink order and what my donut looked like after I exited...
Read moreProximity is the ONLY reason I subject myself to this location. But NO MORE. The girl at the window during the day is unfriendly and doesn't even try to be any other way. I was there 2 weeks ago, and after lousy service for the umpteenth time, I thought I would give them one last try because of the location. So here's the deal...I have 2 various orders, depending upon my appetite...With or without cream filled donuts. Order #2, iced coffee and 1 vanilla cream filled, 1 chocolate filled. Easy peasy. I pre order on the app, drive thru, get to the window and the young girl (maybe 19-21) says, without a smile, without a greeting of any kind, "we don't have vanilla cream". Nothing else. I waited.... waiting....so I broke the silence and said, "Well, make it 2 chocolate, but will you have vanilla tomorrow?" She says... get this..." we don't have vanilla cream filled donuts here. We haven't since I've worked here." I said,"Really? I just had 1 a week or so ago. How long have you worked here? " She said, "About 2 months. So do you want the chocolate or not?" Wow. I checked my purchase history, and I was there 10 days prior and had vanilla cream, 2 weeks prior to and so on. So I wasn't imagining things. I was at the Oakwood, Mundy Mill location. Inside or at the window, no one has ever been friendly at this location. I will trek to the newer winder hwy location or just give up the donuts, which wouldn't be a bad thing anyway and save my gas...
Read moreI went to this DD today and order BnT with egg and sausage rather than bacon. I also made sure to say “NO CHEESE” (like I would with any meal that typically includes cheese). I checked the meal before leaving the lot, but I made the mistake in only checking one side of the sandwich. Well to make this review a little shorter, I didn’t find out till I sat down at my new location to eat it. When I opened the bag to get the rest of my sandwich out, I noticed that there was cheese all over the other side (that I didn’t check), so I guess I’ll claim that mistake. But what wasn’t okay was that when I returned to let them know it had cheese after my request of no cheese, I noticed something as I watched them remake the sandwich...the Hispanic lady who was making my sandwich had one glove on (but still handling food with no glove on other hand) and a ear bud headphone piece snuck under her shirt and into her ear but was obviously talking on the phone pretty loud in Spanish. This ticked me off because I came in to just kindly point out what I had thought was just a mistake, but found out that it was the carelessness of the employee due to her being on the phone at work. To top off this great situation, she was about to put bacon then CHEESE on the new sandwich that she was REMAKING. I will only return if someone else can make my...
