When the management changed a couple years ago everything immediately went from being amazing to horrible. I stopped eating her because I had such a bad experience. Today (2 years later) I decided to see if it had gotten better. Nope. Worse. The menu is super limited now. They got rid of their amazing fries and tried to copy Chick-fil-A with the waffle fry. I only received 8 cold/hard fries. It looked like they gave me someoneās old plate. They downsized the sauces to when one package is gone with 3 fries. (I asked for two and fan out with my 8 fries). I ordered the honey chicken sandwich. It looks like that had an old packet of honey that they plopped under the sandwich. It used to be tossed and evenly coated. The employees were talking across the restaurant to each other while talking about cleaning and their tasks. The environment is super unprofessional. It seems like the new management doesnāt give a rip about quality. Which used to be part of their slogan. (If it is they should take it out) I used to LOVE PDQ. I love what they stand for. I used to love their food so much. I honestly am super disappointed in the turn PDQ has taken. Iām sure Tim Tebow would be embarrassed if he sat down for a meal at the Ocala restaurant and experienced what normal customers do. I paid $9 for 8 fries and a soggy sandwich. Chick-fil-A is less and tastes so much better. And the customer service is ALWAYS dependable. (Also right across the street) So I am sad to say but PDQ has officially lost my business and the business of my friends and family. What a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIļø liked to start by saying that originally Iļø loved PDQ when Iļø found this facility Iļø instantly stopped going to Chik-Fil-A and other food places and Iļø was a #1 love. However, given this last incident Iļø will definitely not be returning. When Iļø places my order the girl placing it was short and kept cutting me off when ordering. And to continue after placing my order the lady bagging the order had seemed to have an obvious attitude as she was rolling her eyes, when customers made comments she was quickly hand them their food or nod her head as she walked away then talk badly about them to other staff. The employee that Iļø see on a regular basis was great as always and when Iļø asked why my food hadnāt come out after waiting for 10 minutes was nice and explained. However, once my food did come up and Iļøt was given to me the rude server never apologized for my wait and with an attitude handed me my food. When Iļø received Iļøt the fries were already warm and not hot as usual. And on top of that Iļø had a fry that had hair that seemed to be attach fried in with Iļøt. When Iļø called to complain the supervisor never expressed how sorry she was, nor did she understand my reasoning for being concerned. Except she constantly kept rationalizing for this type of bad quality and service. Before Iļø hung up her other excuse was, āIļø just donāt understand how the food was coldā as in she wasnāt sorry. When Iļø called for names Iļø was told that the supervisors name was Erin. Iļø placed my order at 12:23PM and did not receive Iļøt...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI come here every couple weeks on average. Today I bought bought my usual $30 worth of food and asked for sauces. Iwas made to pay $2 for 4 sauces because my food only qualifies for 2. I asked when they made that change and the grumpy lady in a red jacket lied and said they've done it for "6-8 months."
Hope that $2 was worth it because it's the last of my money you're going to get.
RESPONSE TO OWNER'S COMMENT BELOW: This kind of canned response is not the way to get customers back. So that you can do better with the next customer; the correct response would be: Apologize for only offering 2 sauces for a 5-piece chicken tenders Apologize for charging for a reasonable request for sauces Apologize for your employee lying about having that policy in place for 6-8 months Provide examples of steps you're going to take to correct the issue (employee training, dropping the sauce charging policy if there actually is one now, etc.) Offer some form of remuneration; $5 off, a free meal, etc., something other than, "we hope you'll give us another chance." after your employee had three chances already and used every one to show her disdain for the people keeping her employed.
MARCH UPDATE: I just stopped in the Villages PDQ and guess what: they not only didn't charge me for sauce but put the exact same quantity I asked for on the receipt as a $0 charge. So PDQ Ocala, maybe give a call to the better branch down South to learn how to do food...
