AVOID THIS LOCATION IF COURTEOUS SERVICE IS IMPORTANT TO YOU. I try not to give negative reviews because they affect the whole team instead of the one bad player; however, the entire team seems to be lacking at this location. For as long as I can remember (even before CoViD), every visit to this location has been bad. Issues have ranged from a slightly messed up order to a nightmare of a visit. Because they seem to be consistently horrible at this location, I am going to go ahead and put it out there. Tonight, I called at 9:01 p.m. to place an order for pickup. She was very nice, but she made sure I knew they closed in 29 minutes (which is why I remember the time of the call). I told her I was pulling in right then but asked if I should find something to do for the 10 minutes it would take to get the order ready. She thanked me and said that was a good plan. I drove down to the convenience store. I didn't need anything, it was just to waste time. When I got back to the drive-thru at 9:20, the girl working there couldn't find my order. She had to go get it and put it in because the person on the phone failed to put my order in to the kitchen. It's worth mentioning that even though they had caused me an inconvenience, at that point it really was not so horrible that it deserved a negative review or even mentioning at all. I mean, mistakes happen. BUT THEN.....To make a long story short, the girl at the drive-thru carried on as though I was the cause of HER childhood trauma or something. She completely ignored me when I asked what had happened with the order. In fact, I asked 3 times before she acknowledged I was speaking but still refused to give me an answer. I was very courteous about it, and really was just chatting, but that was offensive. I hate to be a Karen, but it looks like in this instance I'm lowering myself to that. Her foul attirude was bad enough, but when we pulled away she said, "Have a nice night." Nice enough, right? Then, as the window was shutting, she added "Now !@#$% go away please." I asked for my son's burger cooked medium, and it was charred. Even burnt according to him. They also forgot to put cheese on it even though they asked what kind he wanted. As a side note, I didn't contact anyone there to complain because the whole staff was sitting around the bar when my friend went in to trade our drinks, so it's my guess that there wasn't a capable manager there. It wouldn't matter anyway. The manager gave me credit for a free meal at this Sonny's a few months ago after I finally complained because of repeatedly awful service, and that approach didn't work so now I'm resorting to this. I didn't bother to use the credit tonight because I forgot about it at first and when I did remember, I didn't dare mention it as she was already being so rude. I love Sonny's and we frequently order from the location on Silver Springs Blvd., but I'll NEVER be back to this one even though it's closer to home. I've had enough. I spent $40 for two meals and two unacceptable (see info below) drinks only to be treated like trash by the staff. Since I'm complaining, I'll mention that they had no unsweet tea because they were "about to close and don't make it for just one customer." OK, that's fine. I can see not being wasteful. I settled for the sweet tea and it was spoiled. We traded those for sodas, and one of the them (Mr. Pibb) didn't even have syrup... it tasted like soda water. I guess if I want to be a customer worthy of fresh tea or Mr. Pibb syrup with my soda water, I should place my order 31 minutes before closing instead of 29 minutes before. I mean really....when is the cutoff for providing good customer service? By the way, even after this horrible experience, I have to mention that the ribs were still yummy as ever. It seems that is just as consistent as their...
Read moreExtremely disappointed :( I went there once before and was happy, but yesterday was horrible. I went to purchase a gift card for a woman at work and decided to stay and have dinner last minute with my son. The waitress was super sweet, and the restaurant was very clean. Our food came super fast, but my son's chicken sandwich was horrible. The chicken was so dry and overcooked. I was really surprised. He couldn't even chew it, it was that bad. I didn't complain, until I bit into my pulled chicken sandwich and bit into a bone about 3 inches in length. It was very painful. It was the last thing I expected! It was long, but only about 1/2 inch wide. Anyway, I know accidents can happen. I told the waitress so she could make sure it didn't happen to someone else. I am just disappointed because I feel like the waitress should have taken it off of my bill or offered to order me something else. I told her I was not going to eat it, and she just said I am sorry. She was super nice, but it should have been corrected without me having to ask for it. It was obvious that we only had taken a few bites of our food and asked for the check. Like I said, I know accidents happen, but my tooth hurt for a good hour afterwards, plus it bothered me that I could have choked. Needless to say, that will be my last time there ever. As I was walking out the door, a man yelled very rudely from the counter saying have a great night, but it was so condescending, and when I turned around, he was laughing? It was extremely immature and rude. A better way would have been to ask how my experience was. I was highly...
Read moreVery awful experience over cooked food tiny portions got two pork, three ways both had very dry, overcooked ribs that sat in the warmer all day and then served to us Very dry, pulled pork crusted to the side of the pan, and then serve to us along with two portions of mac & cheese that was dried up to the side of the half pan all day in the steam table and then scraped Into a dish and serve to us then when I got the Bill found it was a charge for ribs. How do you get up charge for something that’s called a pork three-way a pork dish three different ways ((meaning three different pork items)) disgusting Tea that tasted like dirty dish waterOnly thing good on the plate was the 4 ounces of sliced pork $60 for 4 ounces of sliced pork. Not really a good deal if you going to over pay for food it should at least be good. Highly disappointed, Kinda hard to mess Smoked sliced pork, but I bet Sonnys can do it. I would stay away from Sonnys spend your Hard earned money elsewhere when you spend the amount you earn in 3–4 hours it should be at least be some good food and a good experience So I would go elsewhere for it unless you want To leave a restaurant you just spent money at still hungry and wanting something else I work too hard for my money to go spend it and leave dissatisfied still hungry. I’m wanting something else because the food was so disgusting. All food at restaurants is overpriced, but I can see paying for it if it was good Do better, Sonnys or...
