Panera Bread — Restaurant in Ocala

New Update 2/2024: Walking in I noticed how clean everything was. I also noticed that this is the second time in a few weeks that I saw a lot of new employees. Most were friendly, helpful, but some still learning . My Husband and I ordered two coffees and a bear claw. Coffee was a little old but was ok. The bear claw was delicious . Bathroom was clean. We went back in the evening around 4 pm. We wanted to get a cup of coffee. There was no decaf or light roast. I feel they should at least keep a pot of coffee ready of decaffeinated and Light roast. The ice tea wasn't good. Tasted like they had used a container that had fruit juice in it!

Update2023* "Some employees told us again they were out of Decaffeinated Coffee! Bathroom was dirty and needed Cleaning. They also said the Register was down and they couldn't give us our Sip Club Coffee, but they could give the people that was behind us a free cup! That's why I'm changing my rating from 4 to 3 stars." ... "I must say I don't have that problem at the Panera at Market Street"; Past review * Pastries and Breads looked Delicious. When I ask for more decaffeinated coffee 1 employee told me the store was out of Decaf. I just laughed, and told them in a stern voice to go fix my coffee. 5 minutes later I had my Decaf. I shouldn't have to do the Grandma thing to get my coffee it should already be made when it's low! After all not everyone can drink caffeine. Another person that was waiting ask me why do they have the Sip Club if they are not going to furnish coffee in the afternoon! I told them that is a good question. Food, and coffee was delicious. I usually don’t have any issues with Panera Bread’s Restaurants. But I did tonight, I forgot to mention to the cashier not to put any croutons in my Dad’s Caesar salad, so I asked the girl that prepared it if she can pull the croutons out because my Dad can’t have any flour. So she did with such an obvious attitude that I did not appreciate, then she goes to tell her co worker about it and her coworker looks at me. And I just happen to found out that she was the Manager - Stephanie 🤦🏻🥲🤦🏻 It sad when you have someone in leadership acting like that, bad attitudes are contagious and it will trickle down to other workers. I know we all go through tough times or hard times, but we need to remember that you are dealing with customers that are paying your salaries and they could have gone somewhere else but decided to go into your restaurant. Many places will loose customers or close down and a lot of the times is because of bad management. I do have to give credit on here to Chick fil a, because it doesn’t matter what if their employees are having a bad day, they still have to treat or answer their customers with (it’s my pleasure). Note: I also asked for no croutons on my onion soup, but as you can see they also put some. Thank you!

UPDATE: Came in and order the same thing that I normally order. I give them credit, the soup bowl was filled well. But the sandwich was mostly bread as you can see in the picture and only 1 slice of avocado when all panera’s I have been to, give two slices. But it bearly had any meat🥲 Consistency is not here for food amounts. I rather travel next time to either the villages Panera or eat somewhere else. And it’s sad that management or Corporate...

I ordered from this location on Door Dash tonight, and when the food came, it was in horrible condition. I reached out to the restaurant and when a woman answered I asked if she was the manager and she replied "mm hmm" her name is Alice and after locating my order she immediately informed me that I need to reach out to Door Dash. I told her that the reason for my call was to let her know she has a quality control issue and explain what condition my order was when I received it. Instead of listening to me or allowing me to tell her about my order, her words were " they have your money". I asked her if she wanted to know or care about what happened and her response was, "yeah, (huff) okay, you can tell me." Alice is rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. I hung up because she does not want to know and does not care. My order condition: The cheese that was supposed to be on the flatbread pizza was stuck to the roof of the box. That was pretty much all the cheese that was on it too. The soup containers were filthy, and it appeared like someone just dropped them in the bag, and not packed with care. My order was over $50 for just food, including fees, and with the tip for the dasher, it was almost $90. If I wasn't sick, I would have gone to the Market Street at Heathbrook location, which offers better quality and service. Alice should not be a manager when she doesn't want to do her job and doesn't care about quality...
