This is the worst restaurant I have ever visited in the United States. We ordered a bunch of Indian food that we expected to be authentic like all the other great Indian restaurants I have visited with my friends. The Teriyaki Chicken had good taste but it was a tad bit hard. Palak Paneer tasted good but not authentic, but it was like a local would make in India so technically it was good. The momos were nothing how they were in India, god they were awful. Mango Lussi was ok. But seriously, these people really need to learn how to make authentic food to be called "Asian Garden" because food from gardens, especially of they are home grown are expected to be fresh. But the reason that this despicable restaurant deserves 1 star is because of the good awful serivce. The waitresses were not even their for most of the time. They were slacking on the job talking with their other coworkers. We said the momos were terrible and we wanted a refund on that and she was like, "Well I don't like them either so sorry." Then she just left. What the heck, she is not a professional. She deserves to be fired immediately for not doing her job. Food preparation took way to long. I thought it wouldn't take long to get us drinks since the vendor for drinks was located near the front of the restaurant which we were seated and it took 15 minutes to get us drinks. Good restaurants take only 5 or so minutes which is a good period of time but 15!!!???!!??! That's blasphemous! We literally had to wait a very long period of time to get some assistance from these people. Do not eat at this restaurant. Only eat if you are going to do take out. And please, fire a majority of the staff and get better...
Read moreSeriously awful. The food was honestly gross. I've had chicken tikka masala from a lot of Indian restaurants and what I got here was just a disgrace to the name. It was horrible. And they don't even use Basmati (the rice Indian restaurants serve) rice- they use thick sticky white cheap Chinese rice. AND THE NAAN. It was rock hard bread. It's like all the food they serve is frozen and just heated up. The prices are about the same as any other Indian restaurant but the quality is worse than food you'd get pre-packaged at Walmart. The only reason I returned to this place is because the dish I ordered last year on vacation was decent. If my boyfriend wasn't Nepali- I wouldn't have even bothered stepping foot back inside but he insisted on trying something. He got the "Nepali dish" entree (dal, chicken with bone, peas, cauliflower and potato) with STICKY CHEAP CHINESE RICE. Dal- imagine toilet water mixed with grease and a ramen noodle flavor packet. That's the dal. It was white and very watery and thin. It's supposed to be thick, creamy and yellow. I really won't complain about the veggies- they're decent. Now the CHICKEN CURRY--- HOW CAN CHICKEN GO WRONG?! Honestly WHO IS THE CHEF HERE????? Who taught them how to cook????? It was so gross. I couldn't even finish any of my food and I didn't even bother taking the rest with me. And by the way- the fountain sodas (all of them) are watered down and are flat. And the ones in the "cooler" aren't even cold. They're hot because apparently the cooler doesn't work. Overall horrible experience. Skip this restaurant when you visit OC Maryland. (If you are from India or Nepal please trust me and do not waste...
Read moreI’ve been to this place a couple of times before, but my last two visits have been extremely disappointing. The customer service has been terrible — honestly, it was below the belt.
Today, I asked the lady for a cup of water three times. On the fourth time, I even offered to pay for it, but still didn’t receive any. I eventually let it go, but it already left a bad impression.
I made it clear—twice—that I wanted my food very spicy, around a 9/10 spice level. But the food came with virtually no spice at all, maybe a 0/10. I ordered the Mattar Paneer, and since peas are naturally sweet, the dish tasted bland and flavorless. I would rate it below zero if I could.
I also ordered the veg thali and noticed that they had mixed two different types of rice. It looked like some biryani rice was scooped from the bottom and topped with plain rice. It felt like they were just trying to use leftovers.
The last time I came, I ordered the same Mattar Paneer and they served it with the mix of tofu and paneer. I didn’t say anything then, thinking it was a one-time mistake. But after today, it’s clear this place doesn’t care much about quality or customer experience.
Customer service for the last two visits was just unacceptable. We go to restaurants like this for our cultural food, authentic taste, and a warm, homely environment — but what they gave us was far from that. It was careless, inattentive, and disappointing on every level.
After this, I don’t think I’ll be coming back to this...
