Surfin Betty’s Burger Bar — Restaurant in Ocean City

I'm giving this 5 stars because the burgers are excellent. But if you get your order to go, make sure you check your order!

Husband and I were excited to finally try Betty's Burgers today. Husband ordered the Grand Slam burger exactly as it was described. I ordered the Betty's Burger.......but no lettuce or tomato and added provolone cheese. You can get chips or pasta salad. And if you want fries, they were $3.50 extra. We both got the pasta salad.

I watched the employee put our food into a bag and I noticed some fries hanging out of both containers, so I told him we didn't order fries, we ordered the pasta salad. He was quick to give us the pasta salad and didn't ask for the fries back. We got back to our condo, opened the containers and my husband's Grand Slam was fine. My Betty Burger was not.....it had the tomato and the lettuce that I asked not to have, and it had cheddar cheese.....I think, may have been orange American.....anyway, not provolone as I requested.

I took off the lettuce and tomato and ate the burger. It was awesome. But did the guy cooking the burgers not read the order?

We will most likely go there again. Next time I will definitely check my burger...

Overall fantastic experience at Surfin Bettys! So good that we ate there 2 nights in a row! The food is soooooo good. My family of 5 (3 kids with different tastes and eating habits) all ate EVERY bite BOTH nights. The Bacon Jam burger (my choice both nights--added extra bacon and a side of bbq sauce) might be the best burger I've ever had--anywhere.

My ONLY slights are the restaurant being limited on indoor seating (the size of the building is too small for how good the food is), and you have to place your own order (like fast food). If the food wasn't so good, these things might be a bigger issue for me, but because the food was so damn delicious, we were willing to cram (slight exaggeration) a family of 5 into a smaller high-top table on the second night and remember the orders of 5 people on the walk up to the counter.

We had Surfin' Bettys for the first time on our 2nd to last night in OC. The second time we our last night in town. I, genuinely, wonder if we'd have had it EVERY night in town had we had it earlier in the week. It's that good. If they ever franchise, or expand, I'd genuinely consider trying to bring one to...

Walking distance from our hotel and about 2-4 blocks from the boardwalk. Found this place on yelp for places nearby...was debating whether to come here but glad that we did! Tbh, the fact that they take credit cards and do NOT charge the customer a credit card fee was one of the reasons we chose this place over other options.

When we came in, we grabbed some menus and headed to the tables. You order at the counter but they bring it out to you.

We got the betty burger with cheddar, jam good bacon burger with provolone, black and bleu burger, 2 fountain drinks, and a cookies and creme milk shake which was chefs kiss Bill came to about $65 with drinks.

Burgers were SO tasty, flavorful, and juicy! Maybe one of the best burgers I've had. They do charge $1.50 for cheese and any extra thing and the burgers aren't cheap, approx $14, but SO worth it! The milkshake was amazing, not too sweet but a great complement to the burger. We upgraded for fries for $3.50 but fam says it was worth every dollar--fries were better than the kettle chips and pasta salad.
