We went on a weekday, so some shops on the sides of boardwalk and other near by places were closed, it seems they open only on weekends or from Wednesday to Sunday, but plenty of other shops were open and it was still busy but not crowded. This is a well maintained boardwalk where you can do walking, cycling, jogging, shopping and eat from shops on the sides. From this beach side you can see the sunrise in its most beautiful way which was so amazing. There are lot of benches on the sides of boardwalk where you can sit and enjoy the day and have food. Plenty of trash cans are places to maintain the place clean and there are a couple of public restrooms which is nice and clean considering the amount of people visit here, also there are showers at different places near the hotels which you can use. The place can be crowded on weekends, so wear a mask and be safe. You could see plenty of people not wearing a mask and walking around and shopping, don't be like that, just be on safe side. WEAR A MASK!! The beach is so amazing to walk and have a sunbathe. Parking can be a little tricky, I think all the closer 'street parking' from 1st to 10th street are paid. so it is better to park after 10th street to avoid parking fee. There are plenty of restaurants near by, so you wont go hungry and thirsty while walking in this hot sunny days.

What can one say about the Ocean City boardwalk. Growing up spending family vacations here gives it a certain nostalgia. Not to mention I have a love for seafood. Living where I do it's not often I get to have it fresh. My suggestion for anybody who wants to visit come here in May or September. That's before and after the crazy busy season. If you're used to going to Florida be aware that the waves are a little more aggressive. So just take care if you have young kids. The beach and boardwalk are kept clean and there are quite a variation of pricing when it comes to hotels. My suggestions are to try thrasher's french fries, fishers popcorn, and since I'm not a fan of taffy go for the cinnamon nuts. They can be found at a small shop called "The Hut House". There are plenty of public bathrooms located off the boardwalk as well. The Jolly Roger Pier is expensive but provides quite a bit of entertainment for your kids. Or you could do what we do and go the cheaper route since we all enjoy a good round of mini golf. If you do a quick Google search for mini golf courses you'll find there are plenty within a short range. Check it out and I hope you have fun.

One of the best boardwalk in the east coast you could find or comment me better boardwalkđ. Lot of shops in the boardwalk , crowded for some but we enjoy the crowd , safe for kids due to strict rule enforced on smoking or drinking. So you wonât mostly smell the smoke in the boardwalk. Very clean , reasonably priced tram service in the boardwalk. Once full way priced tram is $4 per person (above age 1). Lots of food variety and feels like you are on real vacation spots. People are mixed age group mostly , bike rentals and bike stands were also available. Keep cash in hand or most of the shops accepts card.beach is easy access from any spots on boardwalk . Food prices in the boardwalk are above normal but would not say very expensive. There are few items like ice cream on cone are $7 for small size. Parking near by boardwalk on weekend could be around $20 or cheaper than that. Couple of ride park along boardwalk , one is in pier and one is little further. One ferrywheel ride along boardwalk is $10 per person or $30 for 4 person. Very good family vacation spot.

We love the boardwalk. We go to ocean city every year, and have stores we traditionally frequent and lots of fun. I'll want to review each of my favorites individually, but we love getting food, souvenirs, swim and beach supplies, and entertainment all on the boardwalk. I recommend taking an evening to walk to the very end, splurge a but and go to Jolly Roger (or don't, depending on your taste), try to reach the end by sunset and look over at assateague, appreciate the museum exterior and the beautiful sights, and then take the tram back to wherever is convenient to your hotel or parking. My main complaint is I wish some more common needs could be found along the boardwalk, such as a pharmacy. There is a CVS and it is walkable, but if you need a Tylenol or a tampon while on the beach, you're pretty much out of luck. Learned that this trip with about 3 rather inconvenient trips for our room full of girls this latest trip.

Hands down the best boardwalk, no discussion needed. As a local I am very cautious as to when I go (it gets busy). That is because I live here but to a tourist you canât beat it. There is a Tram to take you up & down the Boardwalk (yes itâs that long). You could spend days exploring everything!! There are historical aspects as well as âmust seeâ spots. Unlike other boardwalks (VA beach and most of NJâs) you are right there boardwalk/beach & street. In my opinion you wonât find a better boardwalk, as long with as many options. There are concerts & movies during the summer. As well as the many attractions that are hosted in the inlet (there is a calendar online to check dates & times. This is a MUST when coming to Ocean City!!! FYI the beaches are swept twice a day (very clean), there are plenty of Police on Patrol if safety is a concern (although OC has a very low crime rate, peace of mind).
