A good restaurent May be for others but for us nope. We Went there on Saturday night 10:15 pm . Like other reviewers mentioned I did not notice the owner at the time. Staffs are attentive. Limited parking and totally understand. Approx seating chairs are about 24 people. Restaurent is clean , well maintained, bottled soft drinks are available , ice-cream section seems good. Now our food experience. Average price of meat over rice option js ~$15. I ordered for kebab over rice , chicken shawarma over rice (eventually both kebab and shawarma are same dish đ). They display it as separate item in menu, but they gave both items with same chicken. They are making the chicken once you place the order and so expect waiting time based on crowd. Rice was not good , did not looks fresh(believe me I have very good experience on Mediterranean food). I felt a very bitter taste on some bites and strongly suspect they did not clean well the grill before putting new batch of chicken on grill. Their spicy sauce is not authentic and store bought sauce and I witnessed myself (a strong tanginess). Portion size ok for one person and not very good for the price and if you are hungry might not be enough for you. Meat seasoning tasted ok. Same feedback goes on shawarma on the roll or bread. Onion rings were ok again . Prices are definitely high for rice orders but I understand may be due to seasonal town? . For two meat over rice , one falafel wrap and one onion ring cost us $58.50 . May be I will try next time at the daytime and see if there is a change or else I wonât suggest you to expect a authentic taste. If you want try it yourself and not a worst shop though. One positive point is they are making fresh falafel in front of you and tasted better(again a bitter taste at...
Read moreThis is HALAL place. It's written on the window with lights, and I also asked the guy who prepared our food. I want to support Halal restaurants and show Halal eaters where such food is available, and that's the reason I started reviewing in the first place, but I want to be honest as well. About this restaurant. I will give 5 stars, but we weren't 100% satisfied. Here is why. -prices were kind of high. (Being from New York area, we are used to seeing lower prices on Halal food. Lamb over rice costs us $20+ tax, and chicken over rice $16 + tax and tips). Rice was cold. (We had a takeout. Our hotel was very near. We took the food, drove to the hotel, and opened the food. Meat was nicely warm, which was made in front of us, but rice was cold. I'm happy the room had a microwave. Otherwise, our $45 dinner would've been a big disappointment. I do want to mention that we ordered the food around 9 pm. I think this place closes around that time when off-season) When I opened the box with lamb, the unpleasant smell came out. I tried to make a face like I didn't notice anything, but my husband did, of course, and he questioned it. It was his food. I tried to defend the food by saying some lamb has weird smells. The meat can not be bad. And Thank God, the meat was ok. It was just the lamb smell.. The food itself tasted delicious. The chicken smelled and tasted great. Lamb tasted great. Reviews are about personal opinions. So, I do recommend this restaurant, because the food tasted really good. Also, they sell here acai bowls, coffee, ice cream, milkshakes, soda. It's a nice small restaurant with a big variety of food and beverages. Ocean...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Touch of Mediterranean in Ocean City, Maryland, and it was an experience worth sharing. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly, taking their time to ensure my order was just right, which I really appreciated. There was no rush or pressure, just genuine hospitality.
Now, onto the foodâeverything I ordered was fantastic. The onion rings were a standout for me. They were perfectly crispy on the outside, with just the right amount of seasoning, and the onions inside were sweet and tender. It was clear that they were freshly made, and the quality shone through in every bite.
The highlight of my meal, however, was the falafel burger. Iâm a big fan of falafel, and this burger did not disappoint. The falafel patty was flavorful, with a nice balance of spices, and it had a great textureâcrispy on the outside while soft and moist on the inside. The freshness of the ingredients was evident, and the burger was assembled with care, ensuring each bite was as delicious as the last.
Another point worth mentioning is the pricing. For the quality of food and the level of service I received, I found the prices to be very reasonable. Itâs not often you find a place where you get such good value for your money, especially in a beach town.
Overall, my experience at Touch of Mediterranean was excellent. The food was fresh and delicious, the prices were fair, and the staff made me feel like a valued guest. Iâll definitely be returning on my next visit to Ocean City and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great...
