Beware of this racist establishment with piss poor service and food to match. I had the misfortune of coming here as a Black woman with my friends this past weekend and was treated horrible. Let's start by saying the chicken Chesapeake contains no Chesapeake so you're paying extra for NO CRAB DIP and burnt chicken in a wrap for $20 but don't worry, for an extra $4 they will give you the cheapest undercooked crinkle fries of your life! I ordered the steamed shrimp and when it came out it was not deveined, when I sent the shrimp back UNTOUCHED the waitress said everything was fine and asked if I wanted to replace my appetizer since I sent the first one back. She offered us to take the shrimp still which was weird because why would we want to take food we sent back? They just assumed a group of Black women were looking to get a free appetizer!! We declined keeping the shrimp since we sent it back and we finished up whatever was actually edible on our plates. When the waitress brought out the check the shrimp was still listed there so we let her know and she said it was a mistake and she would correct it. Surprise surprise the white overly aggressive manager comes over to us and starts his sentence explaining that OC doesn't devein shrimp which I refuted that was not true because we just had shrimp that was cleaned elsewhere the day before in OC and his next statement was that he's never had anyone complain about the shrimp not being deveined before and how is it fair to his business that I sent my food because I didn't like it..MIND YOU I didn't eat any of the shrimp due to it not being clean. The manager proceeds to tell us they have thrown the shrimp out and will not remake it and will not be taking off the bill so I would just have to pay for food I didn't eat or leave with. Then he proceeds to say what's the difference between him throwing out the shrimp versus me and the difference is IM PAYING. He talked to me and my friends like we were stupid and less than and he couldn't care less for our business as if we didn't pay $200 for our meal no issue. Had the manager came out originally and said they wouldn't be able to take the shrimp back maybe the conversation would've been different but no he chose to come out at the very end after the waitress made it seem like everything was okay then he proceeds to be condescending and rude in every way possible because we were the only African Americans in the establishment. I would never come back here, they do not deserve any black business and I will make sure my community is aware of the racism we...
Read moreWe were starving and tired after a long day by the time we arrived, so not in the best mood to start off, but this restaurant won us over. Parking was ample, with wide parking spaces. Despite what looked like a long line, we were able to get a table outdoors right away. The outdoor seating area faces the local jousting tent which made for some amusement. The baked oyster appetizer (not pictured) had 4 oysters with a balsamic sauce which made it remarkably delicious. We had the fish tacos, tuna, and the seafood burger. The fish tacos were fresh and the cole slaw a perfect accompaniment. The burger smothered in crab dip was perfectly cooked, and pronounced, "The best burger I've had in my life!" and came with crispy crinkle cut fries with just the right amount of salt. The ahi tuna was firm, accented with a tangy pineapple salsa which was a perfect tropical combo. It was accompanied by a side of macaroni and cheese, and bowl of cole slaw. The mac n' cheese had areas of strangely crispy noodles where it may have been baked a little too long, but honestly I don't care for super mushy noodles, so I actually liked the bits of crispy noodles as it added to the texture and didn't taste burned at all. The cole slaw was obviously hand made, with a nice bite from horse radish. Our server, Francis, was attentive despite being obviously busy caring for a large bachelorette table inside the restaurant. I would definitely recommend this place, but be prepared for the prices. Dinner for 4 with an appetizer and 3 adult drinks ended up over $150. The menu shows prices increased with a marker, likely secondary to the pandemic. We're glad this place seems to be thriving though, as the food is really well done and the...
Read moreThe family and I arrived in Ocean City approx. 9:40pm after a nonstop 5hrs drive. The kids were hungry, so we decide to go grab a bite to eat at Dry Dock 28 located at the corner of Philadelphia and Robin. While looking at their menu to figure out what to eat this late in night, we realised it is late. We then ordered a steak/cheese flat bread, plain cheese pizza, small fries and 2 orders of wings totalling $65 with a $5 tip. With social distancing in effect we waited outside at a table. B4 going out I inquired about wait time (20mins) Approx. 40 mins later in the middle of our converation my daughter reminded me of our order. I walk in expecting to grab our food and go, but unbeknownst to the girl that took the order and promised to bring it out to us the order was given to someone else. She apologize and assured us, they will expedite our order.Nevertheless we received our order 20 mins later with no compensation for the inconvenience. Now its grub time in the room. My son the food expert, in one word "yuck" I will say this, As a retired Sailor I will never go into the...
