Franco's Pizza and Bar — Restaurant in Ocean City

One star bc the pizza is actually delicious but everything else was horrible. From the beginning, the host couldn’t be bothered to crack a smile, dead behind the eyes as she looked for a table for us. No worries, I’m here for food not pleasantries I thought. We’re sat, ten minutes later the host comes up to us to tell us she’s sorry about the wait and our server will be with us soon. Okay…no worries. Five minutes later a manager comes by to say the exact same thing… which again…fine…at least we’ll have plenty of time to have our order ready. Finally our server Jason comes by, we get two waters, one cocktail, one app, two entrees. Relatively easy order. I’ve worked in the service industry before and a table of two at around 100 bucks is an EASY 20 dollars in a servers pocket if you just try…even a little. We did not see our server again until it was time to pay the bill. Not once did he come by to see if we were doing well, and we weren’t, as our entree was the wrong dish. I had to physically bring it to a manager bc our server had no interest in checking on his table. After it took about another 20 min to get a new entree we just canceled and asked for the check. I had to ask a different server for the check, just as I had to do for water refills, bc again ours was nowhere to be found. I know the restaurant game man, if you check on a table even three times you’ve done your job. This guy did nothing, and got no tip. Between the horrendous customer service, the ineptitude of the serving staff, and the fact they couldn’t get two entrees right? Not going back, do...

This place seemed promising upon first glance. The atmosphere was modern but not super oppressive, and it was right on the ocean which added a nice vibe. Service was also alright. Nothing to write home about, but alright. The food however was what really broke this place. The pizza looked really good, but was cardboardy and hard to chew, and extremely salty. I understand this restaurant is right on the ocean, so they're going to be cooking with saltwater, but others in my party said that they've been to other oceanfront pizza restaurants in Ocean City that didn't have this problem, so obviously this is a Franco's issue. Also, another person in my party ordered a salad, and said that it tasted flavorless and processed, so apparently the pizza isn't the only menu item that could use some improvement. The food overall was exceptionally mid. It wasn't the worst food ever, but it was very mediocre. Multiple other members of my party agreed that it was a "solid three stars". What really put things into perspective however was the price. The pizza in the attached picture (which again looks better than it tasted), a 16-inch two-topping pizza, cost $30. The food here overall was very expensive, especially considering the quality (or lack thereof). And this is probably the biggest reason of all why I will not...
