Stopped today at Happy Jacks and was a bit disappointed to be honest. The coffee was so strong, my wife added 2 creamers and 3 sugars and several ice cubes and still couldn't drink it. I added water, and 4 equal packets and could drink 1/2. I ordered eggs, bacon (extra crispy), home fries and pancakes. My wife ordered the same except soft bacon. My food came out the bacon was soft and a bit cold, the waitress came back out with another plate, a little more cooked but still not crispy. She even said she dug around in the large stack of bacon in back to find it, making it seem they don't cook the bacon to order, or in my case heat it up to order. 1/2 way through the meal she finally brought out crispy bacon. In the meantime both of us realized that the food was not fresh hot, it was closer to lukewarm. The eggs has the consistency of eggbeaters (we ordered scrambled), the home fries were preprocessed and quick fried so there was not much flavor. The pancakes were kind of cool within a minute of them coming out. Overall the food was below average, which was disappointing as the reviews were pretty good. One other note, when I pointed out the coffee was too bitter, the waitress said oh really, well at least you got a lot of bacon. (Yeah two orders not cooked they way I ordered them). At the checkout the only thing the cashier said was put you chip in the credit card reader here, no one asked us how anything was, so it appears they just don't care. The only real positive thing I can think of is that the eggs, bacon, home fries and pancakes were priced at $9.99 which is cheaper than other locations, but after seeing what we received, it was not much of a positive. We will not be...

When you get tired of that (little to no) hotel breakfast, Happy Jacks is the place to go.
Hours - Be aware of the hours. I think when we were there Easter week, they close by 12 noon. So we got caught a few times taking our sweet time, to only realize they were closed upon arrival.
Wait - The wait time in the off peak season is minimal (10 minutes), but from what I hear during peak season it’s Loooong.
One seated, the service was quick. I’ve not been to a faster order and the food comes out restaurant. By the time the waitress walked away and went in the back, she was coming back out with our food. Technology (hand held order machine that goes straight to the cooks) at its finest.
The food was great (pancakes, sweet potato pancakes, bacon ( no turkey bacon), eggs, potatoes, and coffee ( huge mug). They do offer a kids menu (MENU ATTACHED).
They were able to accommodate a party of 10 behind and off to our side, without a problem.
Service was phenomenal, professional, and world class. Definitely a spot I’ll return to.
Besides dining room seating, they do have a counter up front.
As you exit, they do have paraphernalia, yes we brought one of them huge coffee mugs 😂.
No shortage of staff or food here. There’s food, then there’s that hotel food/breakfast.
Get there early, your in and out with...
Read moreWe went to Happy Jack Pancake House on a Sunday during my friend’s bachelorette weekend. After waiting about 30 minutes to be seated, we were really excited to eat, but the experience started off a little rocky.
Our server had a bit of an attitude from the jump. My friend kindly asked if she and her fiancé could have their check together (since they were seated at separate tables), and the server just brushed it off, saying it wasn’t her table and that she didn’t care. When my friend tried to clarify, the server got noticeably annoyed, which felt really unnecessary.
Then, while she was going over the specials, one of the people at our table was talking, and she actually tapped him on the head — thinking it was funny, I guess — but it caught all of us off guard. It just felt inappropriate. When it was mentioned, she said, “I didn’t even hit him hard,” which didn’t really make it any better.
We asked for a new server after that, and thankfully we got Jenny — she was amazing! Super kind, attentive, and really helped make the rest of the meal enjoyable. She even looked out for one of our friends who wasn’t feeling too great.
All in all, the food was good and it turned out to be a nice brunch in the end, but the first part of the experience definitely threw us off. I just hope the situation gets addressed, because customer service really makes...
