Omega Eats — Restaurant in Ocean City

Where to begin? I honestly cannot believe how many things they managed to mess up. Upon entering I was seated and not given any water. I had to walk up to the two hostesses and ask them for water and they looked at me like I had five heads. At that point I knew the service would be horrendous so I asked the waitress for a pitcher of water. She visited our table so few times we ran out of water in the pitcher! While waiting for the food I watched multiple families, including a pregnant woman, were made to wait to be seated even though 25% of the tables were empty. When the food arrived it was all wrong. My eggs Benedict had a broken, disgusting hollandaise sauce that was difficult to swallow. My partner's skillet came smothered in cheddar cheese even though we specifically asked for no cheese and when she asked for a new skillet with no cheese they gave her one with giant potatoes instead of home fries, raw peppers, raw onions, and forgot her toast. I had to ask the hostess to have our waitress bring us toast because she was nowhere to be seen. When the "toast" arrived at the table it was the wrong type of bread and was soft! They actually managed to mess up toast! On top of that, the waitress didn't even bring us our food, so we watched some poor teenager walk around the restaurant trying to find the table that ordered the food he was carrying. We ended up both eating less than half of our meals because they were so gross, which is hopefully a sign to the staff they didn't even come close to meeting expectations. I recently dined at Omega Eats for both breakfast and dinner, and I was thoroughly impressed with the quality and variety of offerings!

Starting with breakfast, the menu features a fantastic selection of classic favorites and creative dishes. I ordered the [specific dish, e.g., avocado toast with poached eggs], and it was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The coffee was exceptional, too, providing the perfect start to my day.

I’m not sure why this place is so highly rated. The environment is pretty and that’s about it. I saw my server two times in about an hour and a half. People were getting seated after we had ordered and leaving before us. I asked another server for a menu so I could order some food to go and she said “can you ask your own waitress”. Like… as a server that baffled me. We never did get that menu or to go order because my server never checked on us. Food was bland. The potatoes had no seasoning, were cold, and not crispy. My sandwich was bland, egg undercooked (raw whites) and they forgot the bacon. I didn’t complain, just asked my waitress to take it off the bill since I didn’t receive it. She disappeared for another ungodly amount of time and then came back with my check and then it took her another 15 minutes to come get the check. I get my receipt back and they CHARGED ME FOR THE BACON. At this point after horrible service, not good food, and just am irritating experience, I go up and tell them they didn’t remove the bacon from the check.
