First off I want to say we were surprised to see Marina Deck has been changed to Jackspot. The name needs work. I've been eating at Marina Deck annually for the last 10 years. I left reviews and updates to my reviews every year. Going in the new place had some big shoes to fill. We sat upstairs, where we usually do and saw the place basically looked the same. Some updated umbrellas and chairs but mainly the same. The menu is much smaller but I believe that's a good thing as most of the items I really never ordered. I stuck to my favorites. There are some odd menu items like Beef Empenadas and Potstickers in the appetizers section along with Carolina Pork BBQ Sandwich and Pulled Pork Tacos in the no knife no fork section. On the water I want seafood not BBQ or Beef Empenadas. Another oddity when ordering drinks the menu clearly says Coke Products, but I ordered a Diet Coke, and the waiter asked if Diet Pepsi was okay. I changed my drink order to an unsweetened iced tea. Let me say when the drinks came out I don't believe I've ever seen half sized pitchers for drinks before. We all laughed so hard but for $3.99 it's a heck of a deal. I had to have the cream of crab soup as Marina Deck in my opinion had one of the best in OCMD. It did not disappoint. I do wish they had a bowl instead of a cup but the cup of soup was delicious and a little spicier than usual. It may have been the old bay on top but I enjoyed it a lot. We got a 1/2 lb. of shrimp which was slightly overcooked. I believe that was due to carry over cooking as the shrimp was still hot when it came out. The chef needs to account for carry over but I'd order again. The Seared Tuna was excellent. I'd dare say the best thing we had. Don't miss out on that. We also got the Salmon which came with rice and green beans. The green beans were nicely blistered from the cooking process. Needed a little salt but that's why it's on the table. The salmon had a blood orange vinegarette on it which was delicious but I wish the rice had some drizzled on it as it ate bland and dry. The salmon was a little over cooked again I believe from carry over cooking bit just a touch. I prefer my fish slightly under in the middle. The portion of salmon was huge which was surprising. We also had some less exotic food with chicken and fries along with a burger and fries for the kids. My kids enjoyed the burger and fries. The chicken was just okay. The biggest surprise was the total for the meal was under $150 before tip. This is for 4 adults and 2 kids. Now we only had 1 alcoholic drink but food prices along it was on par with what we paid for our pizza and pasta the night before. Now would I recommend Jackspot....yes I would. If you think you're getting the old Marina Deck you sort of are. It still feels like the Marina Deck albeit the place wasn't as packed as I'm used to seeing it but that may be due to the name change and the lost nostalgia. We gave it a try and we're happy with the experience. I would definitely rethink the name and maybe tweak the menu to be more seafood/surf turf centric but all in all it was a great dinner and a great sunset.

We walked into Jackspot on Friday July 26 at around 5:00pm. We gave this place a chance because of the signage stating happy hour specials Monday - Friday from 3-6. We were seated and our drink order was taken. When our drinks arrived we asked about the shrimp specials and our server said that all specials are only available at the bar. Well I thought that it was my fault. Maybe I did not read the signs correctly. When we left I took a look at the signs and took a photo (attached). No discount was offered. It was very misleading given the amount of signage. The food was great and our server did a good job with the exception of giving us the discount we asked for because of the signs we saw that led us to believe there was happy hour specials Monday-Friday from 3-6

First of all, we should have known that it’s not going to be good when we saw how empty it was. Unfortunately the service wasn’t that great, the sign outside says happy hour 3-6 Monday to Friday, but the service had know idea what we were talking about when we asked what drinks are in the happy hour. Just the whole vibe wasn’t really there. The food was “ok” I guess I had the carabean chicken sandwich (comes with pinapple salsa) I wish there was a little bit more on it than just that, the chicken was super thin.. idk I had better. Won’t go there again

What an absolute disappointment. We came on a Tuesday night with 8 people and got right in, great. New chairs and atmosphere looks good. That's basically where the "good" ends. Two of us ordered crab dip, it was the worst crab dip I've ever had, and the tortilla chips that came with we're stale, barely any crab and it tasted like it was poured right from a bag into the bowl and microwaved. Two ordered cream of crab and they both felt it tasted funny, basically like processed soup, definitely not fresh which is extremely sad considering the restaurants location. I also ordered a side of fried rice and ot was awful! I took one bite and you could tell it was like a bag of those knorr side dishes, and then to see it was $5 for a stupid little bowl! Now they did an excellent job on my pork tacos and my kids ribs with green beans but that little bit of decent food does not make up for the rest of it. They did take off the dip, soup and rice off our bill which was appreciated but they need to step up their food game because with all the options people have here, this will shut you down quick! We almost definitely will...

Went at 2 p.m. Waitress finally arrives to take drink order. The 3 kids get coke slushies, which she listed among the flavors. Finally returned & said something we couldn't understand, then gave the kids 3 blueberry slushies. Food took 50 minutes althought there was 1 other table occupied...except one order of chicken fingers, which she brought out 20 mins. before everyone else got their food, and no ranch dressing. Had to ask another waitress for it after waiting 10 mins. in vain for our waitress to appear in the dining room. Food finally comes & it was marginal at best. I was very excited about my seafood mac 'n cheese, but it was a clump of something I assume was shredded crabmeat on top of the noodles in the form of the tiny dish it had been in before they plopped in on top of the rotini. Also had 4-5 teeny shrimp. Crab soup was just ok. Then it took her FOR FRICKIN EVER to bring the check. I cannot imagine the chaos during the dinner rush. I'm surprised there weren't people there waiting for their food & checks from the night before. Do yourself a favor & walk 2 minutes to M.R.Duck's, which is a...
