As you make your way towards the waterfront, you'll soon spot the iconic, and historic, Ocean City Boardwalk Arch. The Town of Ocean City, Maryland built the Ocean City Boardwalk Arch and Sign in 2000 to greet visitors. "Hello, Ocean City!" The Boardwalk itself, officially known as Atlantic Avenue, was originally developed in 1902, when several oceanfront hotel owners got together to build a wooden walkway for the convenience of their guests. During high tide, the walkway was rolled up and stored on hotel porches. Around 1910, a permanent promenade was built in its place. The Ocean City Boardwalk Arch marks the entrance to the dazzling Atlantic Avenue! In this area you'll find an array of various hotels, shops, dining options, as well as the beachfront. If you look closely at the top of the Arch, you'll see carved figures partaking in all of the different activities available in the area. Arch is located at the 1 N Division street, Ocean...

The beach is clean, you can find lots of beautiful sea shells to add to your collection. If you need an umbrella or a chair the beach umbrella costs 35$ and the chair (aluminum) is 15$ and the wooden one is 18$. You can also get a body board for 20-25$ ( if I remember correctly). Note that you do not keep them you just rent them out. You can pick the spot where you will chill at the beach and they come to you to set up the commodities. There's lots of gift shops for tourists. Lots of food spots too, almost any kind of food. There's a pretty big arcade area and a small amusement park in front of it called jolly rancher (I think that's what the amusement park is called). Food is pricey make sure you have lots of money because you will find many interesting things that you may want to play,...

Ocean City , Maryland. The beaches are clean and well kept. There are life guards on duty and the beach is huge and FREE. The boardwalk has plenty of shops and there is a pier with a small amusement park area. You can rent boats, jet skis, pontoons, watch movies in your car at a make shift parking lot drive-in theater. This town is for tourists and expects tourists so there is plenty to do. Everyone I came across were super friendly to me. I dont know if it was because the pandemic and everyone was just happy to be open but the people were super nice. Im just gonna say its because they were nice, no disclaimers. lol I really enjoyed my weekend beach get away with my family there and I hope I can make it back before...
