Was publicly challenge with my documented service animal because she was not in a labeled vest , which is not required by law. I was rudely told I do not looked disabled infront of people and my nine year old daughter .I went there for years with my service animal so much I was known by staff. The NEW OWNER is ignorant and rude . Proper authorities have been notified There are action being taken against him for his discrimination .Do not wast your time Part two I have been block from replying so Here is the truth. Owner was loud and rude threw me ,my service animal and my daughter out. I went outside was respectful enough to pull out the script ( which I do not have to produce but my child was hungry). The owner refused to respond. The only upside is I got chance to explain to my child not everyone is respectful no matter how I got my disability. Which was performing a service which I doubt a person like yourself could handle . I usually am given thanks accept for that morning.. learn what you are talking about .Not all disabilities are visible. Even to say “I don’t look disabled” is a disgrace . I feel ashamed for you. I do not have to advertise my service dog with a vest... Learn , respect, and realize some of us did our time. Hope the authorities will teach you being you are a new owner trying to gain off of the former owners hard work. Proper authorities have been...
Read moreI have always liked this place.. but won’t be going back. This morning my family went for breakfast. There was only one other filled table on a early Monday morning. The waitress was nice enough. I was so excited to return to this place since I’ve had good experiences before and wanted to bring my sister. The place has a great atmosphere.. our food came out quickly. I went to assemble my dish how I like it.. a bacon cheddar omelette with tomato slices avocado and sour cream on top.. no potatoes or bread. I was so thrilled I even took a picture.. I took a big bite if my breakfast and spit into the napkin..The sour cream was spoiled and so foul..I am not one to complain but this was soo bad and it was now all over my dish.. I mentioned it to the Waitress who was very apologetic and admitted it was expired. A new omelette was made.. while my family ate.. it took a while to get that taste out of my mouth.. I was surprised that they charged us for my meal.. I did eat expired sour cream and have to wait for my meal while my family ate. I couldn’t believe a charge for $2.35 for the sour cream!! So be it we paid and left.. shortly after leaving I got sick from the sour cream. Unfortunately due to the sour cream incident.. I don’t believe I will be...
Read moreI'd give lower if it were possible. My family and I went here for breakfast on our last day in OCNJ. The restaurant looked nice, the windows were open so there was a nice breeze, nice ambiance... then the waitress opened her mouth and ruined that. She was rude and when my 8 y.o. told her of his food allergy, she was nasty to him and told him they don't accommodate food allergies. I don't take issue with the fact that they don't want to deal with food allergies. It's their call. It was the way she said it to him that was completely uncalled for and unnecessary. He was almost in tears. I told our waitress to take my order and my kids' orders off and she looked like she wanted to fight me on that. I can't recall a time we've been treated so poorly at a restaurant. I took my kids and left but the rest of our large group stayed. They said the food was mediocre at best and that's assuming they get your order right.
Every other restaurant that we went to in OCNJ was fine with food allergies and they all had friendly wait staff. If you want great food and friendly service, I recommend Chatterbox (9th and Central). We should have gone back there and not wasted our time at...
