Beach Watch Condominium — Local services in Ocean City

August 2021, 2 bedroom. Checked out a day early. Only thing this place has going for it is the location. Our unit was old and very dirty. Concerned for cleaning policy, especially with COVID. Carpet was black with dirt. Living room furniture felt tacky to touch. Sofa pillows were stained. Bath mat hanging in the bathroom was soaking wet. Elevator was out over the weekend. WiFi in and out. Assigned parking is very tight and others don't always park to leave you room to get in. Handicap deck is falling apart and in need of repair. Please understand that each unit is privately owned so your experience may be different - also note - with individual owners there are individual cleaners. We have stayed with this place for multiple years in another unit - 1 bedroom. That unit had plumbing issues, sliding door didn't lock, and was just outdated with old appliances. Elevator issues in years past. WiFi wasn't an issue back then. Hopefully the entire Condominium/HOA gets an update. We did not use the pool area during any of our stays because we were not impressed with the appearance or the fact there were no places to sit around the pool. Property not monitored 24/7. I stayed here with my family this past week and was very disappointed for several reasons. 1) The room was not cleaned properly. 2) The furniture is old and the couches are sunken in. 3) Although this is a family friendly place there is no restrictions on noise control or social distancing. No one monitors the property. Families were playing corn hole and having dance parties right outside of my bedroom patio using our tables and chairs until 3:00 AM every single night. When in the pool and hot tub there was no social distancing and at one time over 30 people from a group were in there when I was in there with my husband and daughter. The realtors response was you should have called the police, which we didnt' since we were the only family not a part of the group they would have known it was us and then who knows what would have happened. As we were already getting looks when we walked through the deck and they had to pause their game of corn hole for us to get through. Horrible experience. The location of the apartment was fantastic, right on the boardwalk, which made it easy to enjoy the beach and nearby attractions. However, the apartment itself had some issues. There was a noticeable mildew smell, and I found trash underneath the bed and dresser. Additionally, there was mildew in the bathroom, and the shades in the bedroom with the bunk beds didn’t fully close, which affected privacy.
