Tommy's Sub Shop — Restaurant in Ocean City

I wish I could give this five stars because the cheese steak was good. My husband and I visited Ocean City from Towson Maryland, where we live and we’re known for cheese steaks When we got to Ocean City, we went to a couple of crab places and then we wanted to know who had the best local cheesesteaks. We were told about Tommy’s so we decided to go there. The staff was very friendly and nice, and the Cheesesteak was okay but nothing in Towson AT ALL. But the fries were trash. They were burnt shoestring size fries. And they were not good so if you go there, do you get a sub or do not get the fries!! "The best damn grease in town" is their motto however I believe that they could change or add to that with "the best damn sub in town". I first found Tommy's sub shop about 20 years ago maybe more. It was great food then and very affordable for some young broke guys hangin out in OCMD for the summer. I was recently in OCMD with my wife and kids and I was feeling nostalgic so took them to get some Tommy's. Still the "best damn sub in town" as far as I'm concerned. Even though we were only there for a little over a week I still went there twice and if they are still around whenever I go back I'll go back. Visiting from New York and was just looking for something quick yet good. Came across Tommy’s and am very glad I gave it a shot. I got the mozzarella sticks and BLT. Also ordered the cheese burger sub. The mozzarella sticks were crunchy on the outside and smooth, melty and stringy on the inside- just as you want them. The BLT was clean, the bread toasted great. Very delicious. If you’re looking for a quick place to satisfy your hunger, I recommend this place. Super chill. Also the service was quick and they were super nice.
