The ice cream side was wonderful and helped get my kiddos get over cream quickly! I was disappointed with the candy side of things, however. My older son brought $3 and asked if he could buy some candy with his money. I told him yes, as the stores are connected from the inside, but I didn't want to take his sister in because I didn't want the parental fight that goes with little kids seeing all the goodness. My son came back scared less than two minutes later. "Mom, I need help, I got too much" needless to say we all ended up going into the store. He hit the Skittles handle and out came a lot. Read moreLooks were deceiving. A bright, colorful place with lots of candy, but the ice cream shop is not good at all. The young staff acted like they’d rather be somewhere else. Horrible mildew smell inside. Hershey’s ice cream that is way overpriced ($5.30 for a small, single scoop cone) that tasted like it’s been in a freezer for a while however was so soft that I’d consider it melting. Check out was inefficient - you have to go to the candy shop area to pay and it was very slow. We ended up eating our entire ice cream cone while waiting in the check out line. Read moreThe Friday after Thanksgiving, we took the kids for a treat. We arrived at 6:30, a half hour before their posted closing time. While the lights were on, and employees visible through the window, the door was locked, and the teenagers working would not even acknowledge us. No apology, no closing early sign, just rudely ignoring us completely. Another family came up as we were leaving to have the same experience.
