FEAST OIB is a great little spot located in the small downtown area, about a mile before the bridge to the beach. It was only a 4-minute walk from our rental, and with all the good reviews, we had to check it out.
When we first walked in, the vibe gave old-school seafood buffet energy, the kind you'd expect at a beach town. But don't let the look fool you. The food was good! It wasnât very busy, aside from a big group and a couple other tables, but we were there early-ish 6pm. We snagged seats at the bar. We tried a few local beers and chatted with a local who gave us the scoop on some fun events happening that weekend.
I had been craving crab legs and ended up going for the Seafood Platter Extravaganza. When I ordered, the server said, âThe Extravaganza? You go girl!â I laughed and asked if it was really that big, and she told me it was enough for two people. Naturally, I had to try it for myself. Honestly, when it came out, it wasnât quite as extravagant as I had imagined. It was definitely enough for one person, but not for two. I only left behind a cob and a couple taters. The crab legs were flavorful, cooked just right, and generous in portion. The lobster tail was also delicious, though a bit small for something billed as extravagant. The shrimp was fantastic and the cocktail sauce was packed with flavor. It came with some solid veggies to round it all out.
My partner ordered the local favorite, the shrimp burger. We had never heard of one before and had questions. I honestly thought it was going to be a regular burger with shrimp on top. Nope. It was made entirely of shrimp, some pureed, some chopped into chunks, and formed into a patty. And let me tell you, it was delicious. We loved it so much, we made our own shrimp burgers when we got home. The onion rings were also super crunchy and fried to a perfect golden brown.
We would absolutely go back to FEAST OIB to try more dishes... or just order the exact same thing again! Highly recommend for a laid-back spot with solid seafood.
Note: the photo with the French fries is the shrimp burger we made...

Server was kind, at first I could sense frustration because I asked for bread around 8:30 and they didnât do that, but she ended the night graciously offering a dessert and her apologies due to the length of food wait. She did a great job with our drinks, we did have to ask for silverware. 2/4 meals came out like 15 min apart, after waiting an hour. We came in around 7:15 on Sunday and it was busy. Seated around 8, food around 9, left around 9:30. Party of 4. Sonâs medium burger was a nice size with plenty of toppings, but definitely well done. My grouper and mashed potatoes and veggies were tasty in flavor but fish was dry/over cooked in comparison to red drum special. Red drum tasted the best and offered the most with colors and flavors of sides. The scampi with steak had steak all in tiny pieces, and didnât look like a $30 meal, but more fit for a kid. Would be better if they offered a veggie in the price because it was just pasta and tiny steak, my son said it tasted okay. I sampled the peel n eat shrimp my other son had ordered as appetizer that came with his dinner, and not to much old bay seasoning on it, nice size though. All in all, was pricey, but in comparison to oyster rock where you canât touch decent seafood meals for under 35, I...
Read moreNot recommended for families with children. If you have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and love small protein portions, this is the place for you. The food is uninspired, not tasty, dry, and definitely not seasoned at all. Pot luck food with fine dining prices. No spice, herbs, salt, pepper, herbs, lemon, or butter will dirty your plate. Think hospital or old age home food... Take your elderly parents, but eat at home. It could be a healthy and familiar option for them. After trying this place because most other places that sell seafood at the beach look like a deep-fried (everything tasting the same) nightmare, I find it ironic that the name is Feast. The crab legs are good because steaming needs no human intervention. I do hope they make it long enough to make changes before it is fatal. It really is not that hard if you love food and respect your customers. The little pride flag was very tacky but was so out of place, like they try to hide it till you sit down with your kids. Put it outside so people know to go in or not. The poor waitress was trying her best, so no complaints about her at all. They deserve...
