Saw this on Yelp and we are new to Ocean Island so making our way through a variety of places to eat. Have to say the staff is very attentive and friendly. The dessert counter just blew us away but sadly we had no room left after our meals to try anything - but highly recommend visiting for coffee and either Keylime pie or any of the cheesecakes or other cakes they have!
The eating area was very plain but I got the sense that the primary business was probably catering and perhaps having an eating area was a bonus. Not an issue for us just providing a description of where we ate. Very clean and comfortable.
We ordered two salads that we doctored up and also had the artichoke crab cheese dip and grilled garlic shrimp. The food is so fresh and cooked wonderfully.
The only thing that stopped it being a five star for us - which means beyond perfect- personally, others may disagree, was the sliced beef that we had on the one salad. Don’t get me wrong you could tell it was fresh and it was flavorful, but the texture reminded me of cooked roast beef and we had expected in our minds thick sliced beef red in the middle. It was a texture constraint on our part.
Again this is not to say it was a bad dish, it wasn’t. It just wasn’t what we personally expected and again that’s personal preference right? That is not to say anything against the owner so when folks read my reviews they know they have to be taken constructively because it’s a review based on ONE persons personal preference not a ding against a restaurant.
I had the Salmon Power salad and it was fantastic! I added a lot of things in addition to the bacon avocado like mushrooms goat cheese almonds. Had the lime vinaigrette dressing which was phenomenal on this particular salad! The salmon was seasoned and cooked perfectly and you could tell it was so fresh.
Loved the artichoke crab dip could not get enough of it and highly highly recommend that! The shrimp, garlic shrimp were seasoned and grilled absolutely perfectly.
We definitely recommend this restaurant and will be back without a doubt. I think in hindsight we would have tried the chicken but that’s more our fault for not knowing to ask how they served/cooked the beef...

Read moreVery disappointed in this small "gourmet " restaurant. After waiting to be seated, water arrived quickly. Then after shooing the flies gathered at our window table, we waited 5 minutes for our waitress.. Food arrived 15 minutes later. Then the waitress disappeared and never came back until we were almost finished. My chicken club was large but after attempting to cut it in half, it fell apart. The flavor was good but I ended up eating it in pieces. Had avocado goo under my nails. Hubby's ham sandwich had too many onions and the bread was soggy. He asked for potato salad as his side and got macaroni salad. My side of fresh fruit was mushy and not fresh. When the waitress was told the fruit was not fresh, she snipped, well it was made this morning. It was almost 7 pm when we stopped in. She did ask if I wanted something else but by that time I didn't want anything else. She never returned. We went to the counter to pay and the girl made guesses as to what we ate before she had our correct items. Now, people came in and out picking up take out orders so they must have known something we didn't. But if they ordered a warm sandwich like we did, it would have been a soggy mess by the time they got around to eating it. We generally tip well but this time zero. ...
