Tap Time — Restaurant in Ocean Isle Beach

We were looking for a sports bar on the island, and couldn’t find exactly what we were looking for so we ended up here - so happy we did! Such a short drive off the island, and exactly what we were looking for. Plenty of tvs for college football, and the bartender easily switched games on tvs so we could better watch the game we wanted. Great beer selection (both draft and bottles) including a pumpkin beer I was hoping for. Ordered buffalo wings and mozzarella sticks and both were delicious. Kid-friendly (we had our 7, 5, and 2 year olds with us). While ours were the only kids, nobody made them feel unwelcome. The bartender even fulfilled my daughter’s request for some wine corks so she could do a craft with them. There was a couch area with board games, plus foosball and shuffle board. Nice that the beer list is on untapped and easy to get ideas of what you like. 3 samples allowed per person. Shufflepuck is fun. Nice lounge area. Unfortunately I was expecting to have the staff wait on me and I had to get my own beers. Didn’t see a can list or anything so you’re limited to what’s on tap. If you ever get the chance, go to beer skool, a rare treat to enjoy and learn about a particular beer. Today's Oktoberfest class was awesome, pitting many German against us counterparts, along with brats, pretzels, strudel, and potato pancakes!
