1st- I do not doubt this place really could be a, "line-out-the-door" restaurant yet.... NO- 😥 perfect place but vibe was of being taken to the bank the whole time. "ALL YOU CAN EAT"= false/LIE and if you get a box to take your 2nd, 8 peices of shrimp to go home-It's considered, "Breaking the LAW! My mom needed a to-go box and without it being communicated, they took her plate and boxed it, & held at the cashier, hostage, which we didn't know about which is/was, absolutely ridiculous. IF you are charging somebody for 1.5 plates, and forbidding them to take home the 4 they can't eat, what happens?-! Tossed in trash? Naw..... You need to trust your customers. If, people want to take some in a purse home that they paid for, then let them. The $ you are saving is outbesting your performance due how you are treating those who keep you in business. There was no atmosphere except being watched like a hawk. Catfish is NOT the price online. That changed a long time ago. It's not 11. Or whatever for senior citizens. More like 17.95 and then those people are limited to 3 peices and one plate, tho listed under the, "All you can eat" umbrella. The CATFISH is filet....not a full fish. You can opt for fries or a sweet potato as sides. Suggestions are stop policing your customer base. Either get rid of the, "All you can eat lie" or sell less and refill plates as needed. If somebody is abusing it, put a stop to it, but this is riduncula. Your name will be known by the much more vast loyalty to those true admirers of the product, coupled with the service you offer! Prices need to be updated, and anything associated with bone-in catfish needs to be removed and clearly stated. As such, lowering your prices is in order. 13.95 and call it a day. There was no salad or baked potato option and you are charging as a restaurant that does. 2 options?!@&# 👎 no... Fix it or offer the place to an interested party to buy you out or something. The shrimp were tasty. The biscuit was nothing to write home about. My mom's fish were so tiny for 17.95 with fries....-(no salad option) 🥗 😢 Coleslaw was on the table. They would have tossed it too. The whole to-go-container fiasco was downright embarrassing. If one says they might need a to-go container it doesn't necessarily mean they don't want to munch on another luke-warm French-fry While you get the container. Instead, the process was, "Let me take it from you, to the back, (unbeknownst to me, to never been seen again), and finally finding it was up at the register. Huh?! 🤔 lower-class and that's probably how the business is running about right now. The waitress was nice. I paid for some real butter for the cold biscuit as I don't do vegetable spread. That, too, was like getting it from the black market....lol. 🤣 My dad said the fried chicken was done-up right. He was limited to 3 pcs. Under an, "All you can eat menu". We snuck out like bandits with a biscuit in each coat pocket, in a napkin- felt like, "BREAKING BAD"... 🤣 There was no nice, "Southern, Hey Ya'll, come on in" greeting. The hostess seemed bothered and so busy and had issues keeping up with her waitresses and tables and who was doing what when asked. (Perhaps get walkies?) Very little could be done to fix the mess made but a trust in your $ provider is needed. Even....IF you have instances of those wanting to abuse the policy, just your name would shine far above that mess and money would be waiting to pour in. You are also charged a 3% FEE for using Card services.... huh?! Lol. ¡Oy Vey! No.... Don't run it like the DMV.... come on #ThinkAboutIt- call chef Ramsey do something. Quite sad. This place is bleeding- somebody fix it...

Oooh man was this place good! When I read the reviews, they seemed very mixed, good and bad. I figured for $18 how can you really go wrong with All You Can Eat Fried Shrimp and Catfish. The building is historic and really cool. I didn't want to take the waitresses time by asking too many questions, but I'm sure she would have had the answers. For an old building, I was surprised it didn't smell weird or musty at all and was in good condition. The outside definitely needed a power wash, but I'm sure that's all apart of being on the water and they take care of that during spring cleaning. Upon being seated your given fresh biscuits and jelly, so good! They keep local molasses on the table as well, for your biscuits and sweet potatoes. I usually worry about farm raised fish and am leary, but their catfish was so clean! It didn't taste like dirt or mud at all. Nice white fillets fried up well and served hot. We don't usually eat fried food outside of our house either, because of salt, bad oils and sick stomachs, but we didn't have any stomach issues after eating. Mind you, we did not stuff ourselves and only ate until we were content as well. Which was actually just the first plate and we both ordered an extra round of shrimp. The shrimp were so good! Little fried nuggets of heaven served up hot, and fast. Our waitress was incredible, we talked about her dad and a few other random things. We never waited for a refill and she checked on us regularly. The sweet tea was incredible with free refills. The only weird part was at the end. For my side I picked baked sweet potatoes because my dogs were in the car and they LOVE sweet potatoes, I do not. As with most places that offer A.Y.C.E. they don't want you bringing extra orders of food home. But here, they won't even let you bring home the potatoes and 2 shrimp left on your plate. Which 1, seems super wasteful (unless your reserving them, which is illegal) and 2 seems incredibly chinchy, or maybe insane. Put a weird feeling of potentially not returning, businesses that operate like this worry me. Who knows what goes on for them to be so adamant about no to go boxes. The table next to us all ordered regular meals, no A.Y.C.E., and the waitress still wasn't allowed to give them a box, she had to take the plate to the back and box it up herself. The table was as shocked as I was and it put the poor waitress in a very odd position. I hope these things don't affect her tips, but as a server, I know they do and that's not right. I put my dogs potatoes in my purse, paid the tab with a nice tip and rolled out. All in all the food was incredible, the service was top notch, and the building itself was...

After being back to the coast many retirees recommended we go to Aunt Jenny's for the all you can eat shrimp. My Wife suggested it as a special evening together and I said sure. Upon arriving the place is old and has that rustic old smell to it and the air was like no maintenance is done over time. upon looking from my seat I noticed pink insulation hanging from a fixture that I know is a health violation in itself. We ordered and service was rather OK and the food arrived in a timely matter that was great but it but the all you can eat shrimp was awful. The batter had little flavor to it and the shrimp were almost overcooked, and knowing kitchen operations they have the fryers to high a temp and the oil is no good. Seems they don't rejuvenate or change out the oil regular, and if they do then the temps are way to high.

I talked to a retired couple today visiting the coast and I mentioned to them a few choices and they told me they tried Aunt Jenny's last night and it was terrible. Solutions: Looks to be a family owned restaurant and most the time it comes down to lack of money, or reeking the profits and let the consumers suffer. As the staff goes they are caught up in a humdrum of boredom and lack professional working conduct. If they cared about the customers and the history of the 19th Century House they should start with cleaning and getting the appearance of the business cleaned up detailing areas when there is a lack of customers. They have enough rooms to work different areas each day/week so they could give attention to details. In all my years if the seating area is not up to par I assure you the kitchen is much much worst. I understand the cost factor, but when you pay staff to stand and they are bored they take no pride in business it reflect to the customers. Jenny's owners need to make decisions to remedy matters or it shall be the end of this community staple. I am sorry but I can't return to or recommend such a place until I know it has been revamped. I just don't know how other locals can stand the lack of taste in something as seafood that is so...

We were down on the Mississippi Gulfcoast this past Friday & Delores wanted Catfish for supper, so Aunt Jenny's is where we went. When we pulled into the parking lot and saw all of the vehicles, we just knew we were in for a long wait, but luckily, we were wrong and we were seated almost immediately. Not only were we seated promptly, but our server, who introduced herself as Jordan, showed up at your table just as promptly. As it would turn out Jordan's ability as a server was top shelf as was her personality. Delores ordered the all-you-could eat Catfish & I ordered the all-you-could eat Combo(Fried Shrimp & Catfish). The Catfish fillets were good, but it would have been great if whole Catfish had been an option. Now the Fried Shrimp were a good size and tasted fine. In both cases when we asked for a pre-order, the order came fast, hot, and fresh. The downside to the meal was the side's, from the dry biscuits, to the long cut slaw, to the packy hush-puppies & last but not least, the undercooked sweet taters, though all of the side's were edible, it would have been a much better meal if they would have been of equal quality to the Catfish, Fried Shrimp, and Service! Now don't take my negative remarks about the sides as an overall opinion of Aunt Jenny's, as the service, view, and quality of the Catfish and Shrimp, still make this not only a great place to eat, but also a great value. This was not our first visit to Aunt Jenny's and it will not be our last!👍

Nestled in a wooded area of the back bay with stunning views of it throughout the restaurant is what has to be one of the best local restaurants in the area. The home decor and southern charm add to the appeal. We were quickly seated and brought out the most delicious biscuits. The butter, jelly, and marmalade made for perfect toppings to them. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and ensured that our drinks were always filled before they were empty, we never had to ask for refills. The food was perfectly cooked and piping hot when it was delivered to the table. The chicken had amazing flavor and the perfect crunch to the breading! Those that had the shrimp were equally pleased with the portions and the flavor of the dish. Overall it was an incredibly delightful meal one which we won't soon forget. I can't wait to come back here again in the future.
