I first tried this place bck in 2017 after moving here from a big midwestern city. I’ve never been a fan of the franchise type places. So was eager to try this spot. The wings are bland and lack flavor. The sausage & cheese pizza is what I ended up ordering majorly of the time after trying the Mississippi meat lovers and pepperoni. My issue with this establishment started on February 14, 2019. I ordered the baked provolone along with my usual house salad and sausage pizza. I love the baked provolone and became very familiar with it from ordering so much. I had it at least six times prior to this particular night. So again very familiar with the typical size. So when my food was delivered on February 14 to my home I was disappointed when I opened the container and saw that my big provolone was less than half the size that it normally is. I immediately call, spoke with the manager named Aaron or Erin. He was kind of snarky and asked well what do you want me to do? Do you want to come get another one or do you want us to bring you another one? Due to his demeanor over the phone I didn’t feel comfortable accepting food from them again that same night so I said you know what, I’ll just take the credit and get a complementary one next time I order pizza he said OK. I call back about a month later, so now it’s March 18 and I order a salad the bland wings and more pizza. I also asked for the baked provolone to be taken off my bill because of the interaction a month ago. Food is delivered no problem. I didn’t eat the baked provolone until the next day. I warmed it up and cut into it and I knew right away something was wrong. The inside did not look as clean and neat is it normally does it literally look like someone had rolled the dough around on the ground and then baked it because it just looked messy on the inside so I’m picking it apart still kind of skeptical. I eat a little & I kid you not there’s a piece of plastic in the food. I call, speak with the same manager, he goes oh well I’m not sure how that happened. I’ll have to find out who was working in the kitchen last night, he apologized but he goes what would you like me to do? I said I’m not sure at this point, how about you tell me, he promised to follow up with me & I never heard back from him. That’s my issue Tom”s not having enough supplies on Valentine’s Day so I guess they made smaller baked provolones to stretch provisions due to the valentines crowd. Manager was snarky while apologizing and then when I ordered my complimentary baked provolone it was very sloppy and unclean internally and had plastic on the inside mixed with the melted cheese & burnt onions (nothing caramelized about those onions). After contacting the manger for second time (first bc it was too small and second bc of plastics on the inside, he never followed up with me like he promised and that’s why I will never go bck and discourage anyone else from patronizing this establishment. Poor customer service and foreign objects in meals. I almost feel like I was being punished for complaining about a baked provolone that was way too small on that particular holiday. I even took photos and offered to send it to manager but he said oh no, I believe you. I felt like he believed me bc he knew it was there, bc it was intentionally done. I had recently heard of this location(wish I had not) and decided to check it out. I walked in and no one was there to take an order or have me seated. Eventually someone came out. We were seated and a waitress came by to ask for our drink and order(she was friendly). I ordered the big Texas pizza and took off 3 toppings and exchanged 1 topping for another of equal value because I did not want them and believed that it would drop the price since less toppings. However, I was terribly wrong. This is where the wait and terrible service increased. We waited for about 30+ minutes for a pizza that didn't have the proper toppings. But I was very hungry and not to picky so I decided to eat it. After I finished, the bill came in. When I looked at it, they had charged me exact price for the pizza without taking the price of the toppings I had removed off. I wanted to talk to the owner about this mistake but he kept on hiding in the back. I asked the waitress if she could fix this, so she went to the back to talk to the owner. When she returned, she said the owner told her since I had exchanged 1 topping for another it equalled the cost out(it didn't). Then she left and came back and said the owner would take 10% off the order. I didn't want a discount, I just wanted what was right and take off the prices of the toppings that weren't there. Finally the owner came out to talk to me, actually, scream at me for such a simple problem. He threatened me and yelled, "do not come back this is my store", at me then ran away to the back without anything being solved. Read moreFriday night at the local pizzeria can be a challenging outing! We showed up at 5:35 pm the place looked busy however there were seats available. We were asked to be patient and not block the door, Jessica assured us and the others she would be with us shortly. I watched as she negotiated the current customers that were seated and the pick up order customers. At first glance the I noticed the look of seriousness from all the servers and the need to get people seated and get people closed out, that look of a busy friday night. They worked so well together to keep the flow manageable and under control. We were seated within 5 minutes. We got Jessica as our server and she quickly took our drink order. I was curious to see how long the pizza would take with the non stop calls and pick ups along with the seated customers. Lot's of local customers here even though a resort area is right down the road. I looked at what everyone was eating and my wife made her choice! The Galveston was right up her alley with a side salad. I got my childhood favorite Canadian Bacon with pineapple real canadian bacon not ham. I also wanted to try the smashburger, after all we are at a pizza place! 🤔The pizza was better than any I have had in years, the crust was incredible, not any left on the plate unlike many of the other places we have tried, the crust was so delicious. The smash burger was very flavorful and fry's were awesome. I noticed the couple next to us ordered two large pizzas'! I spoke with them and the second was for football Sunday and the Eagles vs the Giants game.That is great to have the insight to know that this pizza was going to hit the spot two days later.
