Decided to try one of my old college stomping grounds tonight. Of course the one in college was in Boca Raton and amazing so I figured same spot different state can’t be any different right? Boy was I wrong. For starters my menu was covered in a syrup like substance that had several colors and was so nicely stuck under my forearms for the duration of my dinner. There were so many fruit flies around that I felt like my section of the bar was the landing strip.
Sat at the bar and was served by Julie. Started with the people’s margarita cuz let’s face it the Rock’s tequila is the best. While the tequila tasted great I was disgusted by the numerous black flakes enjoying a swim in my margarita shaker. Couldn’t finish the drink after realizing I had been drinking these flakes.
Next, went on to the zingers a classic that I figured can’t be butchered. While the sauce was tasty it was nearly impossible to cut through the tenders.
Moved on to a Modelo because you can’t mess up a beer right? I think they are crossing the streams w/ the beer keg lines cuz I don’t believe I got a modelo but something more like a Dawn soap mixed with a Stella.
Now whoever cooked the prime rib absolutely saved any hope for this restaurant chain. I was served a beautiful 16 oz prime rib cooked perfectly medium rare and with almost no fat on it. If any praise goes to this place it goes to the chef that cooked the prime rib.
In conclusion you won’t find me a regular at this restaurant less than 3 minutes from my home. I will continue to go to Chilis for cheap American dining. But you might catch me in here on prime rib night once a year. Place could certainly use some improvement. The one in Boca should come show them...
Read moreI went to Miller’s Ale House last night with a party of 8. It was very busy at 6 PM, but settled down considerably by 7:30 PM. The atmosphere is very nice & lively. Plenty of television viewing in the bar & restaurant for sporting events. Merlin was our waitress, and she was fantastic. A brilliant smile & pleasing personality. Merlin was very attentive to our table even reading back our dinner orders to make sure she got them exactly right. 4 of us had the Mimi’s Fiesta Chicken & Shrimp Bowl as there was a large picture of it on the menu, which looked delicious, and every one of us agreed it definitely was! 1 had the chicken fajitas which came out sizzling hot & he said they were very good. 1 had the chicken quesadillas, which also came out nicely grilled & hot. They were also very good. I felt sorry for our 8th diner, who ordered the pork of Osso Bucco which came out looking so delicious with a side of mashed potatoes & gravy over them. After he took his first bite, the big smile of satisfaction he had made us all want to try his dinner. Every one of us thought it was as good of an Osso Bucco as we had ever tasted. Oh, and I almost forgot… Our table for dessert shared a Captain Jack’s Buried Treasure, a Ghirardelli Chocolate Brownie Sundae, and an order of the Pull & Pop donuts. All so delicious there was a little skirmish with sharing. All 8 agreed we will each be back to Miller’s Ale House. Apologies again for not capturing the atmosphere or any of these dishes in pictures. It’s a little difficult in a party of 8, to stop everyone from eating so you can take pictures of...
Read moreRealistically, a 3.6 star review. But for the sake of the business, I will give them 4. I stumbled upon this establishment after picking up an Uber eats delivery for a consumer and the raging chaos of the live football games charmed my ears. I returned for the Jets vs Raiders game to have a few drinks and a meal with my brother. After about 15 minutes of waiting, a waitress came and took out drink order. She made a playful joke and happily wrote down our order. We then waited 10 more minutes to get the drink and 5 minutes she took our food order. After placing the food order it took about 25 minutes to get half of the food at our table. The wait was longer than expected and I had also noticed at the time we had no silverware on our table (the food we ordered required silverware). I brought this to the waitresses attention and asked for a side of ranch as well. We received the remainder of our order and silverware 10 minutes after, yet still no ranch. The creamy side I so desired was the finishing touch of my meal and therefore it wasn't up to my standard as received. The atmosphere made up for the lack of service and, granted, the dining room was at 3/4 capacity. With that being said I completely understand the hiccup. I will be returning for a second try and Im looking forward to it. This establishment has potential and anyone with working senses can agree. Compared to any other conventional chain restaurant, they are a solid 4 stars. Overall, it was an...
