Rizzo's Pizza — Restaurant in Ocean Township

December 6, 2024, is when I am writing this review but I have been going to Rizzo's for decades. The pizza is good, and if the tall guy is cooking then the pizza is excellent for MY tastes. By excellent, I mean the crust is relatively thin, airy, and stiff, so I can eat without the slice flopping over. I no longer work in the area so I don't get here as often as I used to. I stopped by in November, 2024, got my two slices plain, and decided I should finally write a review. I always eat in because I don't live nearby. The shop itself is functional and clean. The atmosphere is adequate for eating in, and one wall includes a mug shot of Frank Sinatra from when he was arrested many years ago. I assume most of their business is takeout because I know a lot of people who get their pizza at home. I've been going to Rizzos for a very long time. I dare anyone to compare any other pizzeria in the area and, of course, the pizza and other delicious dishes which Rizzo's prepares fresh to the taste of Rizzo's food The owner, Phil, and the others, which I've known for years are nice, friendly, thoughtful and they treat each customer as if they are family . I just had stuffed shells there, and they are the best!

To be honest with everyone, I've been treating my doctor and the staff to Rizzos for years , every month, even though I go there every six months. They love it and I enjoy doing this for them. We waited almost two hours. Kept telling us it was on road. Driver contradicted them. They don’t deserve any business for lying.

To answer the owners question in the reply below, who I’d also be VERY happy to meet in person, we were told 50 minutes for delivery when we ordered at 5:15pm Sunday. At 6:20pm my relative called to follow up and see the status, was told it was on the road. At 6:45 my relative called back to say we gave up and ordered elsewhere and your employee hung up.
