First let me just say that in this day & age for L&L to still be using only styrofoam packaging (even for dine in!?!) is disgraceful! Horrible for our Environment & for our health!!! L&L has its roots in Hawaii where the true Hawaiians know care about taking care of the land & the sea. Get with it L&L, there are many paper to-go boxes available on the market! Even plastics that are biodegradable & made from plants. Let’s raise our consciousness & start to care more before it’s too late.
Second, in my opinion & understanding... Kal-bi Short ribs are supposed to be a special marinade consisting of onion, garlic, and Asian pear for sweetness. The Short Ribs here are just caked with very sugary Teri sauce here, choked me with sugar! Very poor quality meat also- extremely chewy! Not tender in any sense of the word. Too much sugar is bad for taste IMO & definitely bad for your health! It is known. Will never order this again if I ever return to an L&L.

Read moreFood was mediocre .. that's why I'm giving them at least one star. We ordered food online for pickup. My husband went to pick it up and he did not have a mask on. The lady at the front said if he did not have a mask on, he couldn't receive service. She told him he'd have to wait outside. He didn't even have one in the car. It's fine if the business requires masks for some reason but if that's the case, they should provide it. They should also ask politely. My husband spoke very calmly and the lady was absolutely rude to him. He asked her to just cancel the order then and she refused. Blatantly just said no. My husband walked outside trying to figure out what to do. Another customer was nice enough to bring a mask for my husband from his car. The cook was even trying to tell my husband to just grab something but we did not have anything. As my husband was walking out the door he also saw the cook remove his mask completely. I truly feel like the lady was just controlling, trying to force masks on someone else without being polite or providing masks at her place of business. The food as I stated was mediocre. You get a tiny scoop of rice from a literal small ice cream scooper. Mostly cabbage and vegetables. I'm sorry but for $11.00 can I get rice and meat, it was pure unseasoned gross soggy vegetables not even steamed but boiled in water.
