I do not regularly review restaurants unless I had a uniquely positive or negative experience at one. Unfortunately for everyone involved it was the latter at The Draft tonight. Through Uber Eats, I had ordered their wings, which to be fair are excellent and why I rate their food 4/5 stars (The Chili Cheese Fries; not so great, to be conservative with my take on them)... When my order arrived I had only recieved half the wings (the rest of my order arrived just fine), and I noticed that the wings that did arrive were not "All Flats" which I had paid extra for.
No problem. I'll give them a call and clear it all up. I first speak to a young lady who identified herself as the hostess. My problem apparently was above her pay grade so she put me on with who she said was the manager. I didn't ask for his name (always ask for names). So I tell this guy over the phone what had happened. He says he can't do a refund... but he has the wings there. "The hostess didn't give up the entire order. It's her first day. Come and pick them up and we can get you a free meal or a gift card or something for the inconvenience."
[Literally had to cut out several paragraphs to meet the character limit, but its available on Yelp. So here's the jist...]
Your hostess put on a guy claiming to be the manager, who obviously wasn't, who lied to your customer (me) making promises he wasn’t able to keep, wasting my time and inconveniencing my night, then lied to you (the owner) to cover for himself. It wouldn't take anyone very long to figure out who the hostess gave the phone to, and keep that employee accountable for misleading your customer and getting you this review. That didn't happen while I was there, but for the sake of the businesses integrity I would hope it is happening. The wings are good, but not good enough to deal with employees like that ever again. The shere lack of integrity from the staff I dealt with over the phone, and the clear lack of respect to the owner (and the customer)...
Read moreI hate writing bad reviews, but unfortunately sometimes it cant be helped. I am giving this restaurant 2 stars, because the food is delicious (1 star) and the people that work there are very nice (1 star). Now the bad.... I live 10 minutes away from them, and their burgers are great. I eat there a couple of times a week. I always order for pickup because the order always comes wrong with Doordash and then I am stuck paying for a meal I cannot eat. 90% of the time that I go pick up my food it is wrong. And that is not an exaggeration. 90%!!! Let me also add that I am not a picky food customizer. I am allergic to everything, so I order everything plain. My order is always the same. A turkey burger with American cheese only. Nothing else on it! How hard can that be? Bun, meat, cheese. End of story. For some reason, nobody there can seem to get that right. It always comes with toppings or sauces, or the wrong cheese, or no cheese, etc. Turkey burgers take 15 minutes to make. That is why I always call it in. When I get there, and the burger is wrong, I have to sit there for 15 minutes why it is remade. Super frustrating and inconvenient. Completely defeats the purpose of calling it in. I wish so much they could get their act together. I would eat there every day, but I am getting to the point now where I would rather just eat elsewhere. There is nothing more frustrating than your food being wrong when you are hungry...
Read moreI been to the Draft 3 times, with co-workers and out of the 3 times I experienced good service once. The server with a black beanie helped us during my second time there and he was good. He went to our table several times to asked if we needed anything and kept us happy. However, tonight, my friends and I got a very poor service by Nicole K. When I got there, my friends were already there and they had just gotten their drinks. I had to wait 20 min until she acknowledge us, when I call her to get our order. The server with the beanie took our food and Nicole didn't go to our table until we were tired of waiting to order another drink. She helped other tables next to us multiple times, but she never acknowledged us. We were there for 2 hours and in those 2 hours, we only saw her go to our table one time and I had my cup empty. I kept looking to get her attention and she would not look at us. When we were leaving we kept looking and all 3 people, the server with the beanie, the guy next to the door and Nicole were looking at us. We kept looking at them so they would notice we needed service, but at that point I wanted to leave. My friend got it to come to our table and we asked for the check and she didn't even asked if we wanted something else, not even offered boxes for left-over food, we had to ask her. I felt very uncomfortable, I'm not sure why the different quality of service compared to the...
