Le Rendez-Vous French Bakery — Restaurant in Oceanside

When here a few years ago and all they had in the window showcase was about six items my wife got a cream puff it was the worst one she’s ever had so she goes back to Vons for hers well I went to UPS to drop off Amazon package she went back over there again got a little piece of carrot cake and another cream five it was only about six items for sale I told her this place must be a front for something it never has any food in the display maybe enough to make 30 $40 but how can you pay your rent on such an expensive rental unit with 30 $40 so that’s why we came to the conclusion this must be something else because the food is terrible I just don’t know how anybody can give it more than one star I don’t know how they can make any money if they’re only selling out of this business maybe they do catering or something I don’t know but there’s nothing here...

I went to have a sandwich for breakfast at le rendez-vous, it is conveniently located near my house in Oceanside. the baker was very nice but I couldn't understand his accent very well. he looks asian but he speaks with a french accent. what I didn't like about his place was the fact that he doesn't display his prices explicitly. So you get surprised when you go to the cash register! my bill for a sandwich, two croissants and a french coffee was over 24 dollars. With paying the tip to the woman at the cash register, it ended up being over 27 dollars. Price was a big disappointment, but well, french breakfasts are expensive and you pay for...

Seniors Samba's post & pic got us in here. We bought an assortment of their treats, to try out. Got here around 8am, & all 4 goodies we bought were warm, light, buttery & flaky-fantabulous!

These pastries were so good, & even better with a cup of their delicious coffee. I liked their raisin roll & the apricot & custard croissant the best. I saved the pastry, with whole plump blueberries nestled in the center of it, for the next day. We also purchased one of their fresh baguettes. Le Rendez-Vous French Bakery has very solid fresh-baked French pastries here!
