Cheng's Asian Bistro — Restaurant in Ocoee

My partner and I decided to try this restaurant after receiving a few coupons in the mail. I was nervous after reading the reviews, but we wanted to try something new. We entered, were given menus, and seated. The menus smelled like a sour mop, which made me feel uneasy. The waitress approached us and asked if we wanted any starters. When I asked for two pieces of octopus, the waitress suddenly became agitated. My companion noticed and laughed it off. When it was time to order the remainder of our meal, the waitress was not writing anything... My partner assumed she was a professional with an excellent memory. AAANNH, WRONG! She served me the wrong soup and him the wrong entree. We should have spoken up and asked her to go back into the kitchen to get our proper order. Furthermore, the rice she gave us smelt like an old book... Btw, there was another table. The two tables are then checked by a male server. He checked the other table more frequently than ours. My partner believes he may have irritated him by simply asking the male server what his entree was. Why would not he ask? It was not the right entree, so my partner inquired about what he had been served. When it came time to leave, we asked for to-go boxes. The female waitress returns and presents us with three small boxes. My partner has ribs and needed a larger box to fit everything in. The female waitress took his food and shoved it into the small box. Then she does the same with mine. We were taken aback and did not know what to say because why would she do that? We ensured she did not receive a tip. I believe she expected one because when my partner went to pay, she stared at him afterward as if she was expecting more.

I’ve been buying food from them for nearly 8 years now and The only reason I’m putting this 3 stars if because the food is good but I had a bad experience first with the delivery lady who complained that i gave Her a 8 dollar tip when my house is literally 6min away from the place .so I just said to myself she probably is having a bad day or something and I ignored it . Then 4 days later I placed an order through beyond menu app .i called the store so I could add an extra item to the order so it would be 5 plates in total the lady answered the phone without gretting me at all and when I told her I wanted to add an extra item she completely ignored me so I told her again she very rudely said “I heard you” obviously I did not like that so I asked her to cancel the order . Then she proceeded to say that the food was ready how can 5 plates of food be done in 3minutes? So I asked her again to cancel she very rudely said that they won’t deliver to my house anymore so I just hanged up . the delivery lady was the same as the one I spoke to in the phone .been with them supporting their buisness for nearly 8years with no problem i spend $50.00-60.00$ 3 days a week I mean I did wanted to keep buying from them but if they already told me that they won’t deliver to me anymore ill just try and find another Chinese place there’s like 5-6 Chinese spots near me so finding one won’t be...

I used to love coming here and would always leave a decent tip, nothing more than 5$ but it was always above 2$^, mind you I ate here every single day and would only eat sushi, not the lunch specials. This time, I ordered 2 sushi rolls and a take out lunch special for my mother. The waiter started out with an attitude which I disregarded. Everybody has their bad days and as far as I was concerned, she was an okay lady. They added in their own tip of $3.50. The bill with the sushi and take out was $16.50. When I asked what the reason for it was, they said they required a 15% tip. They manually added it in by hand/pen and then charged my card for $20.00. The sushi dine in was $8.50 total. 15% of that was $1.20. ON TOP OF ALL OF THAT, 15% of $16.50 is only $2.47. The reason why I am so upset is not over money, but because I was completely disrespected. I gave them business 5/7 days. They lost their best paying customer. They do not deserve good customers. * The water is tap water, tastes like sewer. They re-use the chips for dipping into the duck sauce, and their utensils are absolutely disgusting. Only use the chop sticks because they are disposable.
