Cousins is a Wisconsin treasure. You need to eat here at least three times if you visit the state. If you live here, it should be in your RRR (regular restaurant rotation). If not for the sandwiches, DEFINITELY for the curds and fries. Dunno if they put some addictive ingredients in those things, but they are some of the best in state. Weird stating that talking about a chain; but it's a local/regional chain and keeps the food ideas fresh. Sub shops don't typically have fried options, nor give you a chili or soup option either. All are available here. Believe you can even go low-carb and also veg out. Prices are reasonable compared with the competition. And the toppings don't give you that 'plastic' vibe from other, larger chains. I'm not trying to say that it's the end-all, be-all of sub shops, yet it definitely stands above a lot of others. We ordered online. Pabst farms cousins subs. Got 2 subs, fries, and cheese curds. Got home opened the sandwiches, hair in both sandwiches and eyelash looking thing in the fries. Called and told manager(travis). No apology. Just rude.He just said "oh, well we dont have anyone that works here with that color hair". We brought the food back for a full refund. We didnt eat any of the food. Again, still no apology for this. I asked who I can speak to above him, he said he cant tell me that information. Also never offered anything for the inconvenience. This is definitely not good practice in food safety. It's obvious there are no extra precautions being taken. I will never ever step foot in there again. Great place! Always clean and our food is always made correctly. Employees are friendly and food always tastes great. Never have to wait very long and love that I can get a fry for the kids to share with their subs. Nicely managed and run well. Would definitely recommend. They have been excellent as far as meeting requests and having larger orders done on time. My son has had us ordered from year two years in a row now for his birthday meal.
